    Flip top waste

Every time I fit a kitchen or have to work on a bathroom there is a problem with the plumbing, namely the waste or the taps! Usually the waste is a different size or fitting to the standard ones or the taps are crap and a right fiddle to get mounted/fitted! Even toilet systems have changed...

    Gun cabinet

It is for firearms K. It will fit over the metal cabinet hence the reason there is no back panel as it will be mounted over the top of the metal cabinet.

    Gun cabinet

Today I made a start on another commission due to one of my jobs being cancelled. This one is in pine so I made a start using a laminated pine panel. I got the parts cut and got the main carcass assembled. (The Domino made this a quick job.) :D While this was in a glue up I made the drawer...

fitting infill scribed pieces to cabinets

What chippy has stated is a good point which I forgot to mention. FYI the way your customer wanted the infill is pretty much how mine are although the trims on this one were behind the doors. I use a ladder frame for the base which sits inside the skirting and is set back from the front edge of...

    kitchen door construction

Having used both methods I can guarantee the router table method is quicker in this instance. Dr Bob uses a slot cutter in a table set up which idea I nicked and it is far quicker for shaker style doors.

fitting infill scribed pieces to cabinets

Strangely enough I have just done this job this afternoon and use the same 'L'shaped method as you. I glue and brad a length of 6mm to some 18mm to make the infill. I mark out the hinge points on the carcass and then drill holes through the carcass so they are hidden by the hinges. I then place...

    Anyone Know What This Is?

Whoa that is eerie! :o just this afternoon I was looking at these in a set I got with my Makita and wondered how they were used? They are labelled 'screw finders' in the box. Still not sure how they are used as most screws won't fit into the hole in the end?? :?

Best finish for high gloss white table?

I know that Morrells 2K PU would be ideal for this but it needs to be sprayed and requires an air fed mask. Tough as old boots though.

    Salamander

Yes I have to agree I am also hooked on Salamander. I am also watching in the line of duty. It does make a change to most of the rubbish on the TV.

    veneer problems

I always use PVA for veneering and have had no problems so far. It could be that the glue has gone off as I have just lost almost a gallon due to the cold temp.

    MDF wardrobe

Yes Pete it's 18MM MRMDF. I use biscuits and screws and glue the joints once on site. I will be spraying it all satin white in Morrells solvent 2K. Glass is frosted panels. HTH.

    MDF wardrobe

Ah, I had never noticed this when I took the shot. My camera is just a basic point and shoot Nikon cool pic, I am and always have been useless at photography. As for the photoshop I just haven't got a clue....but give me a video camera and I can turn out some good movies as my hobby used to be...

They are inset Bern. I have however relieved the tops of the doors so they don't catch. I too have been caught out before.
