I have just finished (nearly) building a roof over a deck I built a couple of years ago, I used box profile metal roofing sheets, plastisol finish, unfortunately they are not cheap. 5 x 3.8m sheets + 5 x 250mm barges was just over £500 with delivery, that dose not include fixings.

@Deadeye - sorry for your loss, I lost my old compressor a couple of years ago, been with me since 1999. I replaced her with an Orazio silent compressor, not silent but very quiet. I can't remember which model it is, and my old shedshop is now unusable due to over filling with crap, so I can't...

With regards to the snipe, I was milling boards for some alcove shelving I built, lengths up to 2.2m I mounted the planer to my miter saw stand (Evolution 800B) set the rollers above the planer bed height, this stopped any snipe.

I've not had any issues like this so far, maybe I've not used it regularly enough to get any problems. I've always had my compressor air blow gun to hand to blast out the chips on every few passes

First post so go easy one me! I did a few years ago but I'm currently breaking it down as the space has become unusable, it had T slots and router (table). I mainly use a track saw now.
