    Shallow coping saw availability?

This is my solution. Easy to adjust/remove and gets great tension. £2 on eBay. The ends were originally eyes and I cut them in half to make the "U" shape

Record combination plane 050 depth stop

Has anyone got the desire to measure the exact dimensions of the smaller one that fits on the sliding section? I need to make one, and would like it to be original dimensions.

Can you identify this mitre fence?

I reckon my guide is actually from a Startrite bandsaw without a mitre slot, like this one: With my cunning adapter wot my mate is knocking up, I will be able to swap the mitre guide between my table saw and a bandsaw. Which I don't have.

Can you identify this mitre fence?

@kinsella Very kind offer. Fortunately I have a pal that makes model engines and I have asked him to knock me up one of these: It will replace the round green thingy and will have two holes drilled and tapped on the flat bottom. The 1/2" diameter stub slides into the main body and is secured...

Can you identify this mitre fence?

Actually, looking at these two pics I think I can just get some 5/8" bar, drill a couple of holes, countersink them tap and drill 2 holes in the base of the guide and I've got myself a pukka "Smartrite" fence for my TA175

Can you identify this mitre fence?

Just found this (crappy) pic on the web. I reckon it could be for a bandsaw. The T-slot bit attaches to the fence rail and the cylindrical rod is pushed forwards, sliding through the bushing on the L-shaped bit. Any one else care to guess?

Can you identify this mitre fence?

I can't see how a 5/8" bar (that would slide in the saw table's slot) would be fixed to the guide's base?

Can you identify this mitre fence?

Mock Please put me out of my misery and tell me how it fits? I used to pride myself in an ability to see how things fit together, but now I feel clueless! My 175 has a sliding table so I thought it might attach to that in some way? The only "progress" I made was to note the the slot in the...

Can you identify this mitre fence?

Thanks funman. Any idea which one? I've got a 175 with a sliding table and it's possible that the mitre fence came with it, however I am damned if I know how it fits! Any ideas?

Can you identify this mitre fence?

I've had this kicking around the workshop for years (it doesn't fit any of my gear) so I should sell it. Trouble is I cannot remember what it came off? Any ideas? The "T" shaped piece that looks like it should go into a slot is 5/8" x 7/16". The only marking is a TS cast into the bottom. In the...

    Wadkin Planers / Thicknessers

Thanks Simon. It is on "your" rebuild thread that we are now posting! I found it when searching for info on bearings for my BAOS. I read the details of your bearing refit and had a couple of questions. Did you insert the (cold) bearing in the (hot) cast iron housing, and then attach the...

    Wadkin Planers / Thicknessers

Thanks Kirk. There are no grease nipples. It's a "sealed for life type". What do you mean about the drive belt taking a "set"? The belt is actually a bit ropey and I am intending to change it ( before it breaks during a job  ). It has a double pulley on the cutterblock but runs just...

    Wadkin Planers / Thicknessers

I have a Wakin BAO/S in pretty good condition, but feel that the cutterblock bearings are a bit "grumbly". It makes a fair old row when running. I have disconnected the drive belt to isolate motor from cutterblock noise, and it's definitely the cutterblock. There is no play that I can see or...
