    Compressor Query?

There is no reason you can't make up a 16amp extension with the blue 16amp connectors on both ends. I made one from a 100m roll of 2.5mm artic flex. The motor draws about 6 times the starting current of its full load current. If the full load current of the motor is 9.6 amps. The starting...

    Enjoywood Router lift depth walking

Thanks for the picture, it gave me a clue... All fixed.. but not obvious.. Yes, the vibrations from the router, causes the thread to unwind.. always unwind as it's the weight of the router pulling it down.. I'd moved the red slider back and forward and it didn't change the friction. The red...

    Enjoywood Router lift depth walking

Does anyone know if you can add some friction to the depth adjustment or lock the depth? Initially, I just thought the router bit wasn't tight enough.. I didn't get a manual with it and can't find anything online.

Thanks, yes slowly getting better. After lots of physio, I have movement back. Just need to work on strength and feeling now. I just about have the strength to squeeze a peg open and failed completely to pick up a coin. Just a shame that nerve regeneration and growth is so slow.. You also...

I bought a large budget set of faithful to start with thinking that I would replace the ones I wore out with quality bits.. to be fair they have lasted really well. I only use a few bits though Small and large straight, trimming bit with bearing, round over large and small (Radius) x 2...

With this logic you could argue that airbags kill drivers, Life rafts sink boats and your safer to remove all the guards from the saw and hold the wood between your teeth when cutting... Stop you getting careless when your face is next to the blade. I've always used a push stick towards the...

Honestly, after two weeks in there still hurt like f***. I've got a steroid cream to try and reduce the hyper granulation, I've got a doctors appointment to get some stronger painkillers.. Physio appointments to improve flexibility and appointments with the district nurse to keep an eye on how...

you're also missing the fact that if the teeth are large enough, and they smash through your finger with enough force after only a few hits, it might transfer enough energy to throw your hand clear of the blade and into the fence leaving a red mark. All before you realise what's happening.

I would agree with this on first-hand experience, It's more like being hit over the head from behind.. You don't have time to even register what's happening, look down and see lots of blood. I've bought a power feed that hopefully should be with me mid-next week, I'm also going to get the...

I wish I had read this thread sooner, Hopefully with two push sticks my left hand would have stayed clear. This kind of thing looks about the best. There are alot of options out there where your hands are alarmingly close. I assumed it would just get pushed in the direction of the blade...

The guard was in place, I had a push-stick in my right hand feeding the timber through. I was standing to the left of the saw, so would have been clear of flying timber... My Left hand was just lightly pressing the wood against the fence.... possibly as i was at the end of the cut it would have...

Hi All I was recently ripping down some 4 x 4 pine, into 1 x 4.. Towards the end of the cut the saw kicked and my left hand, which was pressing the wood against the fence clipped the blade.... The saw trimmed off the tip of my first finger and has taken a chunk out of my second finger.. It...

    Circular Saw stopping

If it's the same as the GKS 55, they get the extra capacity with an extra set of gears.. Most circular saws cut one gear into the motor shaft and then have a larger gear that the blade mounts to.. There is a reason the saw it the photo has an 8.0ah battery attached.. I would agree with what...

Oversized plywood sheet for a corner desk

I'd want to add some dowels if I was using those. I would almost guarantee the top would open up, unless you had them on the top and bottom. It would save on buying the router jig though. It's amazing the range of connectors out there, just came across this website (sadly not UK based) I've...

Oversized plywood sheet for a corner desk

What about using worktop bolts? The router jig works really well, if you want to laminate sheets, I've done so in a big vacuum bag. Made from some clear plastic sheeting. Unika Toggle Bolt 3 Pack for Compact Laminate Worktops https://amzn.eu/d/3WoKqxt
