Oh no, is it very likely that it's MDF underneath? :( Edit: it was so heavy too, we nearly got crushed by it taking it up the stairs...- Oakley213

Hi folks! I hope I've posted in the right place. I've just bought a secondhand solid oak bookcase. When it arrived I saw that there are obvious strips of veneer all over it, which I'm not really liking the look of. I was told that the whole thing's make of solid oak though.
