    Courier Suggestions

You can use the parcel2go.com website which will give you a list of carriers and what they would charge and then go from there, I've used TNT, CityLink, ParcelForce a few times and haven't had issues with them. Personally speaking the last couple of "big" items I've sold on eBay I've let any...

    TS 200 Workstation - It's Finished!

Very slowly Pete - electrical problems between the house and the garage means i'm not spending a great deal of time on it all as I don't want to do a less than 100% effort on it but the sparks should be in within the next few weeks to sort it. My current progress right now is coming up with a...

Triton Oscillating Sander - My experiences!

I can tell you straight away that will NOT have an induction motor, £146 is too cheap for an induction motor bobbin sander. False advertising on the website.

    TS 200 Workstation - It's Finished!

Wow this was definitely worth the wait Pete - it looks brilliant! Simple joinery, functionality, storage aplenty - that is going to be one useful TS workstation which could double as a small work table with the blade guard removed, blade lowered, board on top etc. etc. Great job again.

Triton Oscillating Sander - My experiences!

Hi Cheerup347, I have a Scheppach version of this sander and yes my one is loud too, loud enough that I wear ear defenders when using it and loud enough that I may upgrade to one with an induction motor that also comes under many brands. Noise aside I do agree with you that its very good at...

    They don't buy ANY car.

I've known people who have done this with r/c cars, a Matchbox dinky car collection and a picture of Alan & Jimmy Carr but this is the first reply I've seen or heard of, they probably get this a lot but brilliant nonetheless!

    TS 200 Workstation - It's Finished!

Good job Pete, mine has been a work in progress pretty much for the whole of this year due to other things going on. Just out of interest how did you settle on the design?

SIP 01344 Planer thicknesser user manual needed

I have a 01344 but no manual either but I downloaded one for a Metabo HC260 - it's essentially the same machine. You can also get a parts diagram of the machine from a quick search online, the capacitor is located close to the motor.

My newly built space saving thicknesser cabinet

Great job - I think functionality trumps the presentation when it comes to these workshop aids and it looks like it will serve you well. Will you put something on the other surface like a belt / disc sander?

    Pipe Clamps

I've seen the Axminster ones up close and personal and they're not bad clamps by any means, my friend who has them has around 10 but swaps them onto different pipe lengths when needs dictate says they will make marks on edges easily so uses same scraps as protection but he's never had problems...

    Which Air Filter?

PeteG, It's hard for me to compare it with an equivalent but I'd say at the lowest speed setting it is fairly quiet, put it this way I usually have some music playing when I'm working but I never have to turn it up above "normal" to drown out the noise of the AF. Even when I don't have any...

    Dust extraction critique please

That's a really great build Billy - love it! I did something similar a while ago but with 5 bottles. I pretty much followed the design as per http://www.cnczone.com/forums/woodworki ... ector.html, a couple of pics of my efforts: The main problem was it frequently got clogged at the...

    Biscuit Jointers

I bought this model on the strength of the reviews, it wasn't too bad for a first foray into biscuit jointing however my main bug bear with it was I could never get the height adjustment to stay the same no matter how tight I fastened it. One of the first times I used it for was to edge band a...
