The topic of buying a site/contractor’s saw, because of a lack of space or money to buy a cabinet saw, is one that has been visited many times here, and no doubt elsewhere. The topic of how to build a base for such a saw, how to incorporate it into some 3d modelled bench/router table/extraction...
It strikes me as odd that all should fail within a six month window! Are you sure it’s not an issue with the batteries?! ;-)
I would suggest that the body of the clock, would be where the bulk of manufacturing costs is, and that were they in warranty, the manufacturer would give you a whole new...
Hi,
The TS200 the one with aluminium bed and slider?
According to this link, they were made between 1996-1999.

But perhaps there were later versions.
Hi Richard,
I can’t comment on the specific saw, but I have fitted aftermarket fences to a few different saws (both tables saws and bandsaws); it’s always been straightforward.
There’s the Axminster fence: Axminster Professional Rip Fence Upgrade
A more substantial one from Scott & Sergeant...
That’s expensive! Definitely not the same product that I’ve looked at. Worth looking around; the product I’ve seen is not pretty, with a distinctly recycled look! It is more costly than treated timber, bet certainly not that much more!
I’ll post a link, when I have time.
Have you looked at recycled plastic? It’s a bit more than timber, but has the advantage of lasting Linder than you.
It doesn’t have the aesthetic qualities of composite (if that’s bag), but for the unseen structure, it’s brilliant stuff.
Hi,
I’m after an FC Tools fc32 rail plunge, that being the jig to drill 32mm centred holes into a saw track.
Though I have some of Frank’s gear, and appreciate the quality, I’m not sure I can justify the cost of a new one!
I’m hoping someone has one that they’ve finished with…
🤞🏻
Personally, I hate all that loyalty scheme c**p!
Earn my loyalty with excellent products, good pricing, sound advice, reasonable delivery charges and good backup/support when required (rarely, if the product is good).
That’s an interesting point regarding the hole shape. I don’t think fc do an indexing thing, but I find their gear, though very good, isn’t all that well described or documented. So, whether that functionality is covered by something, I can neither confirm nor deny!
I’m sure you’re absolutely right. Various bits do get broken or lost though; I’ve seen most of the cast parts cracked, and other bits lost. Once you’re into replacement of parts, I can understand why people look to other options, due to the cost of replacement parts.
I can see why that would be so. But for someone with a fence with lost, worn or broken parts, and lacking the means to fabricate them, it quickly becomes more financially viable to replace the whole fence with an alternative.
