    Harrison L5 3HP Lathe

While I'm down in Kent this week ferrying my dad to hospital each day for a course of Chemo-Radiotherapy, I've been filling my evening giving it a good clean, and preparing to replace the motor. Last night and this evening I set about the suds sump and removed the pump along with the main motor...

    Harrison L5 3HP Lathe

The parts missing from the machine in my workshop are next door in my dad and brother-in-law's more woodwork orientated workshop from their now sadly defunct business (technically all mine as I bought everything from the reciever so it wouldn't be lost...): Another curio, seen here with the...

    Bridgeport Mk1 2HP Milling Machine re-commissioning

I'm not entirely sure myself, however looking at a brochure from 1980 the Heidenhein DRO fitted on the machine was shown as a factory option, so my guess is it's an 80's build. Anyway of finding out from the serial number?

    Bridgeport Mk1 2HP Milling Machine re-commissioning

Thanks all, adding some more detail capturesfrom the full resolution images and new ones now: It it helps explain what the MGE Isolating Transformer is doing; on the Primary side the wires are connected to '0' and '420', and on the Secondary '0' and '110'. Someone has suggested...

    Bridgeport Mk1 2HP Milling Machine re-commissioning

Following on from the brief mention in my own introduction the other day I thought I would share, and seek advice, on the re-commissioning of my mill. A purchase made from ebay between Covid lock-downs which has sat in my workshop ever since. Now, with a bit of time being freed up I looking to...

Hello from Kent and North Hampshire

Evening all, Just joined the forum after starting reading through @Sideways thread on his Harrison L5 looking for some ideas for my own, similar machine. I have to admit I've owned it longer than I can care to remember without ever getting it running, but like a fair few things in my life...
