    Thanks for the responses. It is a multico 9" planer which I just bought from eBay. When I picked it up, the seller offered me sliding carriage for another 30quid. I initially refused it, however, I think I'll give it a go now. Cheers!

    Hello I'm new to forum. I'm a bench joiner and I work alone. Thought this could be a good place to share ideas and get advice etc. I have a question already, does anyone out there have experience of using a sliding carriage on a surface planer for tenoning?
