If I run a 100V japanese tool on 120V US electricity

Running that on US voltage should be fine i'd be more worried about spikes as most of yours is carried above ground! Remember say's 120v but so often your not getting that as like in UK we was 250v .240 but often only 220 had it on meter at 215 before. Less volts can be more damaging that higher...

Helical slot in stainless steel tube - anyone have the equipment for this?

Far better is to have tube with collar inside running on a threaded drive bar(Lathe gear/vice/clamps etc type shaft)pitch/thread would need to be relatively shallow for micro pitch and ease of driving load as step threads equals higher drive load and less fine tuning. Choosing a Vice(Not the Naughty Type!)

Keters ok but work surface won't butt upto the wall as it has a concretey type skirting board sort of thing along base so due to high centre if planing say it can move a bit and better with both paws on plane than one! but going to create a pad to to pad end/side out! But like that bench cheers.

Choosing a Vice(Not the Naughty Type!)

I'm a tad space limited inside but wander out onto landing outside front door which gives "more options" but also don't have masses of storage either as way too many tools etc in the way! I do all sorts/anything really as metal/welding was my thing (give me a pile of scrap and i'l make you a...

Choosing a Vice(Not the Naughty Type!)

Did think about something like that as do have some worktop pieces here but it's shitboard mind with decent cutter can bore holes plus can soak some resin into holes to seal up i guess? Trouble using Keter is have to take outside on landing so have room around it to move so have to be mindful of...
