hey, I wonder if anyone has any idea why i am getting tool marks on my pieces ? They look fine until i come to sand and finish and then when sanding these lines appear , How do i stop this ? Is it possible that my tools just aren't sharp enough ? please help as i think i have created some nice...

As a newbie to this interesting hobby/pastime, could anybody offer me advice on where i can source wood for turning from ? I cannot afford the quite scary prices of seasoned blanks i have seen for sale.and frankly am not good enough yet to justify turning these into shavings !
