    Khan's ULEZ scam >road charging

I fully agree, yes we should do what we can, if public opinion leads, the politicians will have to catch up but ultimately there is little individuals can do. Sadly the fossil fuel industry has plenty of money to fuel propaganda and TBH most people don’t like the thought of having to make...

    re-level wonky cabin

normally for a timber structure, if on a concrete slab, the slab should be slightly less in size then the framework of the structure so the timber cladding overhangs the slab, ensuring water doesn’t run under the structure. Im not sure how this is dealt with on a log cabin style, but if it’s...

    Khan's ULEZ scam >road charging

The arguments on cobalt are a distraction. Such arguments shouldn’t be used to deflect from the need to make drastic changes to slow and reverse climate change. if cobalt production uses slaves, the West can throw money at the problem and solve it.

Help with selecting Iroko for garden gate

Iroko is not that abrasive -its quite an easy timber to machine really in terms of planing and sawing however: 1) Iroko sometimes contains calcium deposits -these will write off HHS planer knives (they are a light thin streak usually) 2) Iroko once kiln dried can contain massive tension -so...
