    THE FOURTH OF JULY

Mmmm, thats a naughty bit of whataboutery, I shall have to keep an eye on you :) My guess is you are a landlord? I will just point out politely that youve avoided accepting the loss of council houses was not due to RTB policy originally floated by Labour but Thatcher preventing councils...

    THE FOURTH OF JULY

The real problem is wealthy people increasing their assets whilst the workers and the govt lose assets. Property in the UK is a major vehicle for doing that. Lowering barriers for landlords would not solve the problem as it would increase demand

    THE FOURTH OF JULY

You seem to have overlooked a vital detail: Thatcher prevented councils from building new houses. So it wasn’t the right to buy policy that was the problem but the net loss of council properties…but I’m sure you know that

the U.K. does have a serious problem with wealth inequality. So a bit of redistribution isn’t a bad thing The wealthy have massively grown assets over the last decade, assets that have been gained from the workers and the govt, it’s the reason this country is such a mess As for tax rises...

theres a rumour going around that Keir Starmer deliberately allowed Wishy Sunk to keep lying about the £2000, let it be officially refuted and then use it as an attack line for the rest of the campaign, calling him dishonest. it does seem convenient that a letter has suddenly appeared in the...

I don’t think you would get a clear answer: Some would say lean more to the right, some more to the left

    THE FOURTH OF JULY

Yes I agree, Starmer should have killed it off, but he didn’t. I doubt the debate moved the dial at all, so Labour still stay 20pts ahead. I think Starmer needs to work on winding Sunak up and making him more and more tetchy….because that’s not a good look.

    THE FOURTH OF JULY

Sunak got away with loads of lies. Starmer should’ve been allowed to address the £2000 lie, in fact he should’ve stopped the debate until he exposed the lie https://www.theguardian.com/politics/live/2024/jun/05/general-election-labour-conservatives-sunak-boris-johnson-tv-debate-tax-plans-d-day...

why would you want people to think Russia was communist or socialist? Its not a great sales pitch Communism as its name implies, is about everything being owned by the community....the Russian leaders conveniently forgot that part of the deal
  14. R

    THE FOURTH OF JULY

although Russia has never been a communist nor socialist country the definition is a: "social organization in which all property is owned by the community" Russian forgot the small matter of handing it to the community

I can’t imagine many small c conservatives feeling the Conservatives since 2019 represents them. I appreciate you are taking a pragmatic view and looking to vote Labour despite not being your natural home. I think an awful lot of traditional conservatives are feeling they can’t vote for the...
