Wall bed/Murphy bed hinge help please.

Hmmmm, expensive, appears well engineered, but expensive.I seem to remember some of the larger caravans back in the late 60s and early 70s having what they describe as a Murphy bed , or a vertical bed. The kind that had three double beds, one fixed, one that was the bay window seats and used a...

Wall bed/Murphy bed hinge help please.

re Hiddenbedfactory.ca ..I haven't seen marquee tags used in decades, nor "Your Content Goes Here" left bang in the middle of a template homepage, they ought to ask their web designer for their money back .1998 is calling asking for their code tags back. I hope their products are better made...

    Viceless workholding

Strikes me as rather like saying that because you can do some things "one handed" that you'll tie the other hand behind your back. It isn't like you have to use the vice just because you fitted it, but it is much easier to fit it at the beginning than to retro fit it later.

    Medieval crossbow replica

You could measure the draw force by hanging it vertically, supporting the "bow" either side of the "shaft" ( rather like one would hang a garden rake on a wall ) attaching a loop at the centre of the cord and hanging a sack or a container from it .As you add known weight of sand ( or water 1ltr...

    Child safe finish

I wouldn't sterilise a child's toy, ( never did on any of my son's when he was small, now 27 ) my post was for information re the relative strengths of "bleach" as opposed to the products actually used for sterilising baby's bottles. We went with methods 2, 3 and 4 ( just for the one child ) in...

    Stormproof windows

The ones here ( we have them as original ) have a rounded groove ( concave ) in the window part, and corresponding convex profile in the frame. It fits very snug, no gap, and would I think work on your curved windows.Whether you can add them "after the fact" to existing windows and frames is...

clic-clac ( click-clack) sofas..you can make , or buy them. Very common in french "studio appartments" or as fold out guest beds. Also look at 3 part foam beds, exist in singles or doubles.

    Child safe finish

You don't bleach*, you use sodium hypochlorite solution ( sold for sterilising babies bottles ) and then rinse off. *word normally used to refer to solution of at least 6-8% Cl .
