Why you need a well cambered blade on a No7

This is what I don't quite get. If the edge of your blade is a very, very shallow perfect arc it would be fine for an edge to edge joint, it would allow you to compress the two outer edges for a perfect joint - but only if you used the dead centre of the blade. Why not just use a straight...

Pillar drill chuck falls off - replace spindle?

Yes, that's why he said warm the chuck, not warm the taper.:)

    Smart meter con ?

The irony when mine was changed was that the chap turned up to put in a smart meter, saw I had an e7 meter and said I couldn't have a smart meter with e7 anyway. This was 6 - 7 years ago. I understand it's changed now, but as the main purpose of a smart meter that I can see is to introduce...

    Smart meter con ?

^^^^ I reported it to the ASA - they replied that they had had so many complaints they weren't responding individually. The ads. do now say customer actions required or something like that. My meter was 42 years old when changed.

    Budget power tools.

Tuffsaws are excellent. Order two or three blades (make the most of the P&P charge), slightly different though your choice will be limited with such a small saw - you will either blunt or snap one at the most inopportune moment. The standard advice is that three teeth should be in contact with...

    You always get found out..

My favourite 12" cast iron steak pan got "forgotten" when we moved house as my wife couldn't lift it with one hand. More annoying, possibly, was that I only paid 50p for it at a car boot.

    Budget power tools.

10tpi is OK for thin ply, plastic etc. but a few less will be be better for wood. Look at https://www.tuffsaws.co.uk/ for info. on blades.

    Addicted to Fisherman's Friend

Reminded me of the late great F. E. Smith. The judge in question was trying a case involving homosexual *** and was in no doubt as to the sentence prescribed by the law for the active participant; however, he was less certain as to the appropriate sentence for the, ahem, recipient of the (then)...

    Addicted to Fisherman's Friend

My sister had Danish au pairs (in NZ) and my b.i.l. married a Dane - they all made Black Pig, made by dissolving certain black cough sweets in vodka. I can't remember what they are called.

Why you need a well cambered blade on a No7

Presumably the purpose of using a No.7 is to get something straight and flat (square if it's the remit)? Why use a curved blade?
