You HAVE just applied it to me. I have had stuff replaced and the return picked up on the same delivery before. I had/have no objection to returning it, it'll be of little use. I just wondered why, if the seller had no intention of reselling it he wanted it back. Why pay the P&P?

    Climate change policy

There are dried up river beds and water courses al over them, apparently. Many have been filled with builder's rubble and rubbish.

It should have been delivered by now apparently. They've refunded the cost. :-)

Bandsaws - best of the budget?

I bought a Record RPBS 14 for £75, sold as spares or repair. I replaced the tyres, the drive belt, the capacitor, the Bristol lever, the wheel bearings, the guide bearings, and the blade. Total cost about £160 - it can be done, decent saws are repairable. That's basically a new £1000 saw...

So why are they subsidised? 25% of our bills subsidise "cheap" power, thanks to the gurning moron Ed Davey.

    Climate change policy

I know of no one who goes out of their way to fill up their tank, we all drive past petrol stations. What happens when you really need to charge your car in a blackout? Blackouts are coming if Milibrain has his way.

Go for a large one if you've the space. You can turn miniature stuff on a huge lathe but not the converse.

Lead the world in green energy by all means but don't expect the world to follow - the rest of the world won't subsidise it as we are forced to.

    Cop 29

Of course - they're developinging the stuff to sell to the rest of the world. Nothing especially altruistic about it.

And there's no earthly point in believing that if Britain does something successfully others will follow. They'll all do what suits them. Every last one of them.

    Arbeit macht frei? Auschwitz, surely?

    US Election November 5th

If it was intended only to be an opinion poll there was no earthly point in holding it.

This was sold through Amazon not by Amazon. I can't quite understand why they didn't just ask for a photo of the date - the only conceivable reason for wanting it back is to sell it again. I've had the stuff last for eight or nine months before, but it was very fresh when I bought it.

    US Election November 5th

Lons, you just don't understand - when Tories win it's because too many people vote out of self interest, when Labour win it's because the voters are only thinking of the Country.

    US Election November 5th

Labour have said they aim to get 2,000,000 off benefits and back to work. By saying that, of course they're admitting there are 2,000,000 on benefits that shouldn't be.

Strangely, the supplier wants it returned. The only conceivable reason for that is so they can sell it again.
