92 year old ripped off by aerial company options?

I just wonder if they felt that the reception was bad and that a dish would be better than an aerial? I'm not saying the company is innocent but it could be that they genuinely felt that this was the best course of action. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New tools for workshop

CSMS would be on my list. You might find the table saw is too big in the space you have. I don't use my table saw much but use my CSMS and Bandsaw all the time. A planner thicknesser is probably not a requirement although I have a small cheapie have one and find it useful. Sent from my iPhone...

no axminster catalogue from now on

Well I'm in two thoughts. I'm ok with the online world and I'd assume that anyone reading this is also. However my FIL is into his wood turning but is nearly blind and doesn't do technology. He loves the catalogue and sticks it under a machine that magnifies the pages. So no catalogue means he...

sanders... blet, disc or combi ?

I've got the rut lands bobbin sander (not the combined one) picked it up when it was £89 and then got some additional discount for some reason so it was cheap. Have to say I'm pretty please, it's powerful and dust extraction seems to be ok. Surface seems to be solid and stable. It is quite...

I'm guessing that you're probably talking Hasselblad and in 96 probably looking at about 30k. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Images - Resolution v File size?

not sure where you are sending them but they should be able to give you a spec of what they need. In reality most publications have no idea what they really need and ask for far higher specs than they use. A newspaper I know used to ask for 1200 dpi images and then printed them at about 120dpi...

    Steve Maskery computer problem

That's all true but I think someone said earlier that he's had the same ip for a while. Spam tends to get detected and blacklisted pretty quickly. Normally blacklisting doesn't happen by mistake. (It's possible that's Steve's IP has been spoofed) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Christmas Tree

Will my Christmas tree be of any use for turning? I wondered about a small keepsake box, pens or a tee light holder. Just wondered if it was worth keeping the trunk for any of that? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Steve Maskery computer problem

Hopefully it will be over but if there is something on your network generating spam then you'll get blacklisted again. Best to run an adware and virus scan on any machines on your network. Good to hear you're back though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My 1st post - dust with a belt sander?

I wonder if it's just the design of the sander. With orbital they have holes in the pad to collect the dust. With a belt they can't do that and they remove a lot of material. I only have a bench belt sander so I can't say for sure but I wonder if you can't improve with your existing sander...

    Steve Maskery computer problem

Steve check to see if you have been black listed here: https://www.spamhaus.org/lookup/ If you have then make sure there is nothing on your network generating spam before requesting unblocking. If you say you're clear and you're not then they don't like to unblock quickly a second time round...
