You're just making stuff up to suit you. You'll want a Timber Merchants joker next.

Minor computer irritation. Can anyone help?

The issue is the same wherever I store and open them, but I keep them all in a folder on my desktop.

Minor computer irritation. Can anyone help?

Having re-booted three times in the last 12 hours I can tell you that this hasn't changed the problem.

Minor computer irritation. Can anyone help?

I'll have a look at that later as I'm heading out to the workshop now. The thing is, Gary, it's not just on start up, because actually I very seldom turn my computer off. However, I do shut Draftsight down generally every evening. It's not even that, though, because I can have multiple...

Minor computer irritation. Can anyone help?

Yes, it is. Every Draftsight file, yes.

Superb for the money. 99% of the capability and functionality of Autocad 2D, for a tiny fraction of the cost. You can probably no longer access it because in January it went from being a freebie to costing about £90 per year.

Does this location have a significance? If so, how do I find it? : Desktop NF41SU2

Minor computer irritation. Can anyone help?

Done........but there are no DWL or DWL2 files in any of the folders associated with my drawings (as far as I can see).

Minor computer irritation. Can anyone help?

This happens only when opening a Draftsight drawing. Every time I open a drawing, I get a pop-up saying: (name of drawing).dwg is in use by Mike at Desktop NF41SU2. Do you want to open it Read-Only? The point is, this happens every time, even if it is the first thing I do when I start the...

Then I bought Famag, now I'm a believer, not a trace of doubt in my mind

Yeah, that's not my sort of budget...... If I want a super-clean surface cut to a hole I have two choices: a brace and newly-sharpened bit, or a sacrificial piece.

Then I bought Famag, now I'm a believer, not a trace of doubt in my mind

I Duckduckgo-ed "Famag drill bits", and it seems they make all sorts. Therefore I am none the wiser. What sort of drill bits have you bought, Steve?

    New forum format

:) Look behind you Steve. I'm there. I'm in the shadows, watching your every move. Actually, I "followed" 8 or 10 of the more prominent posters here mainly to see what happens, and so far....... .......nothing. I hate those pop-ups which they seemed so keen for us to enable, so they're...

How do you store your drill bits?

Ooooh, I made a drill till, my first ever, just a few days ago. I'll fit the hinges when they arrive tomorrow, post some photos, and you can all marvel at how few bits I actually have........ ;)

    How flat is "flat"?

Watching Leo (and Pete) sight the lines of Tally Ho constantly is most revealing. And it's not just boat builders who say that. My regular structural engineer says the same thing too.

    Weather

I can't remember where you're from, Doug, but it must be at altitude to have temperatures like that. We had a massive thunderstorm this morning which has cleared the air a bit, but we're back up over 30 now.
