Hello & thanks for the reply - I`ve ordered a Saxton 60t for a tenner from ebay so will give it a go I`ve only got one butt joint to do & 3 exposed ends above cabinets so it should deal with them Ok. I`ll try the Osmo oil as a finish. Thanks again, Julian

I`ve got a reasonable 185mm circ. saw, will be cutting beech block worktop to length & hoping to use that cut as the finish, without need for a router. I`d like to buy a new tct blade, maybe form saxton & can`t decide between 40t & 60t - what do you recommend? Many thanks if you can advise, Julian

I`m after a router for general use & particularly for kitchen worktop fitting. This router has some very good reviews & seems to be on offer for a low price for a Makita. The query is whether the rather unusual design where the body rises & falls on a giant thread which wraps around the body...
