Yes, I am thinking 20 mm router bit isn't the right tool for the job, but it has been used by others successfully. Maybe small plunges followed by a clear-out is needed.

mmmm, I know you are right, better quality and functionality, but I have owned the saw for 6 years and this is the first time I have needed to lengthen the track, it will be another six years before I'll us use again.

I think the width is standard at 19 mm; however, there are at least two depths of track. Looking at UJK they are appx 9 mm and 12 mm. I got the idea from Peter Millard Backyard MFT on a budget video

I watched this video this morning, and it's given me some ideas on an MFT table upgrade. I like the idea of the T Track on the vertical sides of the base.

I bought a MFT top from a CNC company, it's a good fit for my current bench as I'll be able to make a frame and won't have any overhang unless I need it. I am undecided on the depth of frame. I was thinking 2" or 3" any higher and I'll be reaching. Any thoughts, 2" or 3" ?

The Veritas is 245g, the LN is heavier but nor sure by how much, if feels a lot more than 245g
