Hi All I am thinking of buying the above sander and was hoping someone on the forum had one so I could clear up a few queries. First how true does the plate run? It says self adhesive discs are used but how easy are they to change? for instance is there trouble removed adhesive from the main...

My order was mail order and they picked out master grade quality ( you will pay extra for the very best) I have used some already and it is the...

    Types of bandsaw blades

TCT for all my resawing and standard ones for basic work. I use a Lenox tri master 3 tpi and it cost around £95 and has lasted about 2 years so far, I use it for resawing maple and walnut but I think the lifespan is increased by not reducing the tension after every use which will weaken the...

Making a box then cutting the lid off

I always use the bandsaw providing the box is not any deeper than 300mm. It is one of the safest and quickest methods. I use a carbide tipped blade and it lasts a very long time otherwise a fastcut from tuffsaws does the trick. Ian

1st attempt at veneering - advice please

Mark I have never heard of the above method and would not recommend it for quality work. Best glue for veneering is Borden UL39 which has a low moisture content and has very little creep once cured, it can also be tinted with dry pigments to match the veneer...
