How about something like this There are loads of aid for people with RSI etc. In this case I just searched for lid pliers You could even make one, small plank with a hole same size as chuck OD then cut a slot in it so when you grip the handle it clamps the chuck.

I only just got chance to square the saw up today, took about half an hour and most of that was finding a suitable bit of ply as a test piece. Now spot on.

Very nice :) I've vowed not to buy more tools for a while after buying the Mafell plunge saw and a Bosch mitre saw. However looking at the cost of an 8 x 4 sheet of MR MDF, max about 35 quid if its Medite, I can get the builders merchant to deliver for nothing versus the price of an 8 x 4 CNC...
