Thanks :) I had something similar on the Colchester lathe but a smoothing capacitor on the power supply fixed it, but there was no VFD on that, could have been the motor. I shall have to remember to use screened cable, It's going into a die cast box that may help.

Tracy tools is my go to place for taps and dies. I have acquired a large array over the years, mostly old second hand and good quality but if I'm missing a size, especially if its an unusual size then they are the place I go. Cheers Andy

Yes, several times. I tend to buy motors and VFDs from them. I had a faulty VFD a while ago, it failed a couple of weeks after installation and they dealt with it OK. As far as rewiring the motor for delta, it took an hour or two.
