Anyone know anything about Dust Categories?

What the....? How weird is that! What, I wonder, is the point in selling the two different types of CT with German certificating if they use the same filter!? ...and why the price difference?! I should add that, on the continent at least, Festool doesn't advertise the fact that it also sells...

    Rate Festo circular saws

I have a TS75 and I love it! It is easy to convince yourself that an expensive purchase is worth it when you have absolutely nothing to complain about after using it. The "feel" of it just exudes quality. It is extremely well made and sturdy construction. I've rarely had any problems with...

    Festool Basis

A bit of a late reply but something that seems to have been missed here is that the Festool Basis-Plus Table is no longer available! It has been replaced by the slightly smaller and marginally improved CMS Table. All of the Basis modules (except the old cross-cut unit) still fit in the new CMS...

Anyone know anything about Dust Categories?

Staubklasse L and Staubklasse M are German standards relating to health in the workplace from an organization called BIA. To achieve Class L an extractor must not allow more than 1% of extracted dust to pass out of the filter to a "maximum allowable concentration" (MAK value) greater than 1...

    Smith & Sweetman

Well if it was made by Joop van den Ende and John de Mol better know as Endemol (although enema sounds like a reasonable translation) then that would explain everything. This company fills Dutch TV with so much cra*p it is simply unbelievable...

    New Router advice

Just a quick update from the Festool moaning front... Festool NL so far doesn't seem to give a ****. I haven't even had a standard "we have received your e-mail and will be in touch shortly" time filler. Obviously some parts of the Festool empire are more customer savvy than others...

    Sketchup vs Autocad

There is no need to drag the image into Word to create a .pdf. If you have Photoshop 7 or later you can save the jpeg automatically as a Photoshop PDF file directly from within Photoshop. Just click Save as.. and scroll down the list. :)

    Combed Joint

A small side note, might be useful. Double glazed units in Holland are always made with uneven glass thicknesses. You would never get a 4-16-4 it would always be 4-16-5. (The spacer bars are only made in 2mm steps.) This apparently stops any interference-patterns becoming visible under some...

    New Router advice

Sounds to me like they didn't understand the problem. If the router knob is locked off, then the "fine-height" adjuster on the 6a module wont work! An alternative would be to dispense with the table module height adjuster and replace the 1400's depthing rod with a screw thread and box spanner à...

Oooh direct action. I'm impressed! Let us know what they say wont you?

    New Router advice

It is funny you should mention the fence... I forgot to have a go at that bit! ;) If pushed I'd have to admit it is quite good... now that I've finally got the fences aligned along the same plane and at 90 degrees to the table! I don't know how good your fence was out of the box but mine...

    New Router advice

I also have a 1400 and would have to agree with almost everything Tim said. It is a brilliantly smooth router - incredibly easy to use with a very light plunge action. It seems more powerful than it is for its modest wattage. I don't know how many guide bushes are normally provided by other...

    Spindle Moulder Choices

The most recent issues of F&C have covered the Kity (F&C 122), Jet 34LX (121), Sheppach 3000 (120) and a couple of articles about spindle moulding in general, what to look for and how to use them safely (119 & 120). I'll scan them and send them off this evening. Cheers, Loz

    Spindle Moulder Choices

I'm sure I read someone around here has one of these little Kitys so hopefully they will be along to help. In the mean time I could scan a review from F&C 122 if you are interested. For its size and price it was given quite a good review. They have reviewed several moulders recently but this...

Semi-industrial Router/router motor for permanent table use

Thanks Ray, I couldn't find that dimension anywhere. I had another search and found one source of Triton routers nearer to home in Belgium: Capelleman. They apparently sell the Triton with a 12 mm collet + 6 and 8mm reducing sleeves. They appear to be the only source in the Benelux but looking...

Semi-industrial Router/router motor for permanent table use

Yup, that was a pretty wild (and potentially expensive) trip, thank you for landing safely ;) The footprint of the Festo Basis table (especially with side tables) is pretty big compared to a small moulder but, essentially, it is also mobile. It isn't that heavy and can be taken apart and folded...

Semi-industrial Router/router motor for permanent table use

Thanks for the welcome Alf. I thought the forum was "protecting itself", but wasn't sure. As long as it doesn't automatically self destruct, we'll be alright...

Semi-industrial Router/router motor for permanent table use

I'm new here so go easy on me and apologies for the length of the post! I'm in the market for a new router/router motor to be permanently mounted in a dedicated table and could use some expert advice or even wildly speculative opinion :) I have a thing about Festool and I'd like to break my...
