    Maximum wardrobe door height

I feel your pain! I've also done the convince the client to have bottom drawers which is a bonus but use bottom sliders. You say they'll be painted, when I get asked for full height ones which will be painted I, (and detest using it on the whole,) make an mdf door 18mm, then plant a false frame...

Sounds like you're near Surrey Timbers who are good, also Moss & Co were in Hammersmith now in Greenford. Very helpful too.

Blimey & I thought 15% was a leap! Thanks for that, I'm finding the quality dropping too, can normally get some good clear lengths but they were embarrassed when I was having to pull out & sort through so much, more knots than a sailors hanky.

    Is it me or

Yes, take your point but trouble is I've already had quotes accepted but not yet due to start and I never add more costs to a quote. But true what you say, still at least we're not stock piling bog rolls!😂😂

    Is it me or

It has been going up above the normal for the last 2 years, my main supplier warned me back then it was getting silly, then the other day he informed me if I was doing any quotes that again he'd received notification that as of 1st May it was rising 15% across all timbers. Thinking I was finally...

    Filling large gap under skirting?

My question was going to be what profile is the existing skirting and then suggest what Doug has said, routing a complimenting shape on the top of thin pine.

Oak Sideboard / Media Centre - Long Term Project

I was wondering if you were going to use a mechanical fixing too, if you're thinking that wise but prefer it not to show and bit awkward as the normal would be through thin into thick stock, but I did this once. I took a nail, deheaded it drilled pilot holes & glued it in, extra bit of hold. You...

Oak Sideboard / Media Centre - Long Term Project

Looking great. I can see the extra piece on the hinge back to mortice in but how did you actually fix in place, just glue? Certainly a labour of love.

What's the most stupid thing you've done in woodworking?

Doh! But you'll check every measurement in the future, so that's more power to you from now on! 😊

DBT85s Workshop - Moved in and now time to fit it out

You make some valid points there re drawings, I just get asked as some can't picture it in their head so I normally do hand drawings for them. If you haven't already got one may I make a helpful suggestion, when you have to use edgebanding, I'm guessing you've used iron on, buy a edging cutter...

DBT85s Workshop - Moved in and now time to fit it out

Thanks, I use a compressor in my shop but some paints call for airless, I don't always finish but some people want me to paint even if it's just skirting install so thought a portable might be useful. On your office design I did a similar set up for someone a while back. (I've yet to learn how...
