Does anyone know how strong these are?? Would 2x 600mm lengths hinged together be okay for making a foldable e bike loading ramp ??

    Desktop/hobby CNC

Good evening. I've been looking at the Sainsmart genmitsu 3018 Pro for light carving of people/pets /cars from photos or whatever. A laser would be a useful accessory when I get my head around programming. Does anyone here have one or similar ??

    ASH (copied from General Woodworking)

I've been looking for a Welsh dresser or similar but in ASH. So far, I've only found one manufacturer but they're in Ireland (deaneryfurniture.com) and won't export to mainland UK because of the paperwork hassle ! Anyone any ideas??

    Workbench

Well, the workbench turned up yesterday and it's now assembledand in place. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. It came from Germany, but was made in China. Everything fitted fine. Clearance and starter holes all correct. The top is 20mm edge glued hardwood with a 60mm deep edge...

Thanks Allen. Just watched the link you posted. That's really quite inspirational! I'll take a look at some more of his videos. Cheers, C

    Workbench

Thanks for your suggestion. Yes, I did look at those but the one I saw had an mdf top barely 9mm thick. Anyway, the button's been pressed on the one in my link, albeit slightly larger. In a perverse sort of way, I'm actually looking forward to the challenge of strengthening it

    Workbench

Aye, it's a bugger. Anyway, last summer I managed to assemble an ikea patio table and chairs so I should be OK and b&q are good for cutting sheet material to size. Case need, I can always call upon chums for help with anything I'm unable to manage. Interestingly, being inheritantly practical...

Thanks James. I'm quite a long way from you, but that's a very kind offer. No matter, it won't break the bank and looks a reasonable basis to start from and with. Cheers, C

    Workbench

Thanks guys (and for the ebay link -it's sold). You're all quite correct. Unfortunately I had a stroke a couple of years ago and have no use of my left arm or hand. I used to have a decent workshop but had to sell and give away all my tools and equipment ( except a unimat mini-lathe). I've...

    R450 RAS by ISD

I have a mid-1990's RAS made by the Italian firm of ISD. They also made the R320 RAS but are no longer in business. I'm looking for a spare part; specifically the small carriage stop for the sliding mechanism on the arm. Does anyone know of a source of spares ? DeWalt copy maybe ????

    Small Brass Screws

Thanks, but I think those would be the same size as a no. 4 gauge, so too large.
