    Bathroom ceiling.

Making all parts of your bathroom 22C is unrealistic and unnecessary and I'd guess that at least 95% of the UK don't have their bathrooms (or any part of their house) that warm. I have an extractor in my bathroom but it's never used and never warmer than about 17-19C. It doesn't even have a...

    Bathroom ceiling.

If your ventilation isn't good enough and the room's 22C you'd still have damp issues. Having a bathroom 17-20C is no issue with adequate ventilation. As the temperature of the room goes up, as does the capacity for the air to hold moisture, but it'll happily still condense on the...

You're missing a variable or two there.

    House door on a shed?

I would presume that the main reason people don't do it is cost. You can buy a whole cheap small shed for the price of an external wood door! Aesthetically it might also look a bit odd depending on your choice of door.

    Bathroom ceiling.

But is the loft actually well insulated where the mould has formed? It's pretty common for insulation to not be very well fitted (or as deep) close to external walls where the roof pitch makes installation difficult, and that top outside corner tends to be the coldest part of the room. I have...

House dust extractor outside? Lean to?

So by your comment of a hole through the wall for dust extraction, I was making the assumption (as were others by the looks of it) that the extractor would be venting to outside, with the single hole being for the hose to connect to your tools. In that situation, the air that is sucked into the...

House dust extractor outside? Lean to?

Might as well go all the way and install a serving hatch for tea and biscuits.

House dust extractor outside? Lean to?

What would your plan be for air balancing? If your shed is as well sealed as it looks like it is then the extraction may not work anywhere near as well as you'd hope without having the window/door open. An unheated shed in the winter is one thing but unheated with a constant breeze would...

Table Saw table coating wear - what to do?

I like the idea but with the mitre slots, insert, and table extension to deal with, plus rounded and curved corners I think it might be a bit of a stretch for now at least. I'd worry that the additional thickness on the table would then cause issues with the fence and possibly mitre slot...

Table Saw table coating wear - what to do?

Apologies for the lack of pictures - I forgot to take one when I was over with it earlier today (preoccupied with fixing a HC260 - might do a thread on that later...). Initially when I saw the thing I presumed it was anodised but the coating has definitely got a "thickness" that I've never seen...

Table Saw table coating wear - what to do?

I picked up a broken Scheppach TS105 the other day for a price I couldn't say no to, but with its repair there's an issue I'm not sure what to do about. Primarily on the front and back, in-line with where the previous owner used to pass rough treated timber through it the coating (some hard...

    MISSING OFFICE LIFE

It's taken me a few years of working as a (solo) freelancer to really start missing the office. I had some pangs in the first year that kind of faded with improving my social circle outside of work but of course most of that has vanished now. Even conversing with the same people and periodically...
