    Mitreing Skirting

Thanks for the replies lads. Think Ive more or less grasped what you say, however have I got this right in saying it's definitely a 45 degree angle I'm cutting even with the angle not actually being 45 degrees with the wall not being square? Is this where you play with the sides to so it looks...

    Mitreing Skirting

Hi, I'm after some advice please. I have to put some new skirting around a pillar in the kitchen where a partition has been done, and I'm only a basic DIYer so I'm a little (sorry very) unsure how to do it, or more basically, the measuring/marking/ setting out of it. I know I have to scribe...

    castors

Hi Chippy, Not putting you off these, however just to tip you the wire, Lidl have different packs of castors for a fiver a pack on Monday. Don't know if they are any better, however they're a few quid cheaper if you have a local branch. Just thought I'd let you know. Phil

    Sid Waddell

What a miss he'll be. I think he done more for darts than many of the top players and I believe more people, especially in the early days, watched the darts more for Sid than the players. A one off. R.I.P. Sid, you'll never be forgotten.

    Garage lighting

Thanks for the replies lads, however could I ask something else related to the fittings. Does anyone know the difference between a T5 florescent fitting and a T8 fitting? Someone I asked says the T5 tubes are cheaper to run, however the light produced is slightly inferior to the T8 tubes? Is...

Hi, I'm in the process of covering my garage into a workshop, however the lighting is pretty poor. I currently have 2 single 6 foot florescent lights. Is there anything else I could use? I was going to put spotlights in as it has a sloping roof height from 8 foot to just over 6 foot, however...

    RIP Trend T30

Sorry, I forgot to ask, especially Festool users. If I did push the boat out and opt to go for the Festool, has it good good filtration to deal with the dreaded MDF from routers, saws etc ? Phil

    RIP Trend T30

Just had a qiuck look at the Numatic brands at Axminster, the drum type (NV750). Are these any good, seems to have decent reviews? Must admit the only thing I can see against them is that they dont look very portable, it would be O.K. when in the garage, however when using in the house it...

    RIP Trend T30

Hi, I'm after some advice! After recommending the Trend T30 to someone else a few weeks ago on this forum I must have given it the kiss of death as when I was using it today the motor started smoking really bad to the point I thought it was going to catch fire, so in a nutshell I binned it...

    Fein dustex orTrend T30?

I also have the Trend and think it's a great machine. I only paid £140 (I think) a few years ago for it and it's still running as good as the day I bought it, great suction. Don't know what the lenth of the Fein suction pipe is but the Trend is pretty long which is something else to consider...

    Tile Trim

Thanks for the the info Jason. Daft question then. This would be an an external corner I'm doing and I bought these so save me doing mitres, even on the packet it say they're for external corners so why wouldn't they work and having to cut mitres? Must admit though, even the diagram on the...

    Which Screw?

Hi, I'm about to tile my kitchen floor and I'm laying half inch ply to the current boarded floor prior to laying the tiles. Any ideas on which type of screw would best for this task? Hopefully ones that could countersink themselves? I was thinking of a decking screw as they have a really...
