    Router operations, Is this safe?

Surely this is a job for a simple dado jig and the router? If you've got a sliding mitre saw with trenching stop then I'd probably use that and chisel it out, it'd be quicker and less dusty than using the router

Any Buying Recommendations For Good Quality Corded Drill?

I use a cheapo silverline drill on mine, cost about 15 quid, over the past 6 year I must have used it on about 200 doors. The morticers work a lot better if you give the bits a sharpen every now and then with a diamond stone.

    Flaky sandstone workshop wall remedy

I'd be ringing sovereign chemicals about this one, in the past I have used a product of theirs called "facade cream" or something like that, on external sandstone walls.

    Old-Timey All Wooden Sliding Doors

Why don't you want to hinge the doors? Normal kitchen cupboard hinges would be perfect for this?

    Fixing handrail brackets.

Ive used 6mm torx frame fixings for this purpose with lots of success, only thing you might have to do is drill the handrail bracket out to 6.5/7mm but that's simple. By frame fixings I mean the concrete screw without any kind of plugs

    Aluminium sash cramps.

I've got a load of them, I've used them a lot for clamping window sashes, and doors etc. I haven't reinforced them with battens as I've never felt the need to? I can't remember the last time I used my cast iron clamps since buying the aluminium ones as the ali are so much lighter/easier to use.

How do i cut a straight line

Pretty much the only things mine gets used for are sink and hob cut outs in worktops and very occasional scribing. Apart from that they're pretty useless.

    Toppling over fixes?

Could you not make another leg so it's got four instead of 3? Obviously you'd have to move the current legs around a bit.

    Aldi emulsion paint?

Not being funny but when I've fixed damaged flexi hoses it's because they were twisted/kinked during fitting. It's the rubber inside that splits which in turn damahed the metal outside of the house. I've no experience of Aldi ones that I know of though.

    Workbench top?

But you're an architect with many years of experience? How can you not of heard of them? Some fire doors are solid core chipboard inners and some are hollow core with pieces of "fireboard" inside them to give them the fire rating. I see no benefit in you not calling fire doors, fire doors...

    Clamping an arch

Hand saw and chisel? From above? By edge band attachment I think you mean a fence?

    Tall skirting

How about something like this? https://www.toolstoday.co.uk/faithfull- ... gIWSfD_BwE Never used one so I can't say how good they are, always used a sliding mitre saw.

    Leyland Trade Paint

We use it a lot, and have never had any problems with it. On fresh plaster a mist coat followed by a proper coat normally comes out perfect. Decorating over old dirty paint only bleeds through on certain parts which a coat of stainblock followed by the Leyland sorts it out, but I am talking...

    Hanging Doors - Any Tips??

I understand what you mean in that case, I'm assuming the o.p is fitting doors in existing linings which will already have the hinges cut in? Otherwise I'd be cursing the person who fitted the linings if hes having to cut the doors down with as track saw.

    Hanging Doors - Any Tips??

An electric plane coupled with a dust extractor makes easy work of sizing the doors. I wouldn't bother with a tracksaw for doors unless you were taking say 10-15mm plus off.

    Hanging Doors - Any Tips??

Is it bollocks, Mark it with a knife, free hand it out with a router, chop the corners out with a chisel and job done. Especially if the doors are poor and you're working with knots etc.
