    My first roof build

You'll need an airgap if you're using 2" of insulation so you want at very least 3x2s

    My first roof build

I was thinking 18mm osb but a lot of sheds use 12mm on massive spans, so on 400 centres I thought it would be ok? Isn't EDPM a bit overkill for a garden shed if the roofs pitched? A good quality felt would last just as long wouldn't it? Only time I've used EDPM before is on flat roofs and I have...

    My first roof build

9mm will sag awfully at 600mm centres. Drop to 400mm centers and use 12mm

    My first roof build

A lot depends on what you are covering the roof with? I'd be a lot more inclined to go 400mm centres rather than 600, sheet materials will have a lot less say over it and it generally just feels a better build quality.

DBT85s Workshop - Moved in and now time to fit it out

Exciting! I'm guessing you've asked the guys mixing the concrete if they have access to a poker? I'd be surprised if they didn't know someone who could lend you one for an hour.

    Kitchen Cabinets

18mm is perfectly adequate for kitchen cabinets, with a 6mm back. 24mm with 18mm backs is way overkill.

    Sizing end grain

Sizing just means putting a thin layer of watered down glue on end grain, before you glue something up properly.

    Rightmove or Zoopla

Definitely Rightmove. Can't remember the last time I looked at Zoopla but I'm on rightmove every couple of days.

    Decking Joist hangers

Timber to timber? Couldn't you just use jiffy hangers?

    Looking for help

A thicknesser definitely shouldn't be going anywhere near that until the glues off. You're doing the right thing! Keep up the hard work!

use the bleeding mitre saw hold down clamps.... GORE ALERT

Ouch! I've never used the clamps on any I've used. Safe enough to just keep your hands far away from the blade and make sure the guards are in good condition.

    question for kitchen fitters

You get all the fuse spurs moved into the backs of cupboards? Then space the rest of the sockets and light switch evenly, leaving about the width of a single socket inbetween each one looks best.

    Mushy Peas

I had mushy peas fish and chips yesterday! Ages since I've had them, and I had forgotten how good they were!

Confused at buying the timber...not a great start

If cost is a major factor have you thought about using oak worktop for the top? Are you building the base out of oak too? Or using some cheaper timber and painting it?

    MDF Pro vs MDF

If you're making cabinet doors, you need to do it in MRMDF, it's a lot better material to work with, and the edges are nicer to finish. It's also less prone to damage than normal MDF. I honestly can't remember the last time I used normal MDF for anything, and I use MRMDF pretty much every week.

    Bosch 26-82 planer

A hand plane will do this easily. I use a block plane but you could literally use any sharp hand plane
