    Hen House Timber Choice

Wow, that comes across as a very arsey reply. Considering your post had no information or reasoning just a point blank " never do this". I think it's a fair question to ask.

    Hen House Timber Choice

I worked on a fully fenced 20000 hen egg farm, fenced four foot high all the way around and we would still get foxes in now and again. Best way to keep foxes out is make sure you always shut the hens in the house at night can guarantee the night you forget, the fox won't.

‘Daddy, can we have a playhouse please?’

Nice project, love all the sideways and upside down pics too they made me laugh :ROFLMAO:

Is this an architectural feature worth saving?

Does it match the heads and jambs on the front of the house? If so, keep it. If not, get rid.

    Recip saw recommendation

Yes it's probably not the best blade, for cutting timber I buy cheap Saxon blades off Amazon, for metal I use carbide blades normally milwaukee torch blades, they're more expensive but last 10x as long as the cheap metal cutting blades.

    Recip saw recommendation

Make sure when you're cutting with it you push it hard against whatever you're cutting and that will stop a lot of vibration

    Kitchen fitting

Surely you would only ever really need to pull the cabinets out when you redo the kitchen again? You can always just unscrew the fronts, push the two lugs in and push the box through the back of the cabinet if you needed to anyway, probably takes about an extra 3 minutes

    Car hand controls

My brother in law is a double amputee so uses hand controls, I've had a go in the past when using his car and it's surprising how easy they are to use and get used to. I don't know what make his are but you just pull them towards you to accelerate and push them away to brake. There's even a...

    DIY Damp Proof Injection

I figured it would be something like that. The tanking is plastered over with renderlite which does absorb moisture and stop condensation against the plaster side of the tanking. The whole house has been tanked so in theory it should be ok but only time will tell, we only finished roughly two...

    DIY Damp Proof Injection

Fair enough, the last one I did, a pub in the center of Longnor, the one wall had the main road passing the external wall of the pub, and the road height was in some places 4 foot higher than the internal ground floor. What would you do in that situation? Some kind of surface drainage on the...

Band saw - won't power on at all... things to check?

I've got a larger version of the saw and there is a small safety switch inside the door on the hinge side, i have stuck a sliver of wood inside the door on mine because it wasnt making contact. May be the same for yours?

    DIY Damp Proof Injection

How old is the house? I don't think it's been mentioned?

    DIY Damp Proof Injection

It works just as well on old buildings as new, what's the problem with it? It fundamentally misunderstands how old buildings work. It adds non-porous, non flexible materials to buildings which depend on porous and flexible materials in all sorts of ways. It moves damp problems into other parts...

    DIY Damp Proof Injection

Not exactly a complete con, as long as the damp is rising damp not penetrating damp then it works, it just doesn't last forever.

    DIY Damp Proof Injection

Take the plaster off 1.5m high and tank it with sovereign chemicals k11 slurry, use renderlite over the top and that will sort it. Damp proof injection does work but it doesn't last, we did some properties 10-15 years ago and we are redoing them now but using the k11 instead.
