    Rendering

Fix some timber on to the framre first to pack out the frame to where the front of the render will be, render upto it then fix the architraves afterwards?

    Render repair

That's good, but worth noting the lead should be fixed in using a leadmate sealant not pointed as per your pic.

    Render repair

I wouldn't patch it, if you're gonna do the job, do it properly and get it stripped off and re-rendered.The lead flashing at the bottom looks like it could be made higher too, the water coming off that roof could be splashing above the current flashing by the the looks of it. You want to seal...

roof trusses....I just would like to know.....

They always amaze me with how strong they are especially because the spikes are so short. Another alternative is to use nail plates with loads of twist nails.

    A British Jointer

Would you need to use four push sticks to use that safely 🤔🤣

    Sash window cill repair

Depends how bad it is, you usually find that the underneath of the cill is in a lot worse condition than it looks from the top so you might end up replacing the whole lot. In the past I have used accoya to make like a cover cill to go over the existing if the windows don't open.

How do you hold your hammer?

My dad always used to tell me off for strangling the hammer too. It's surprising how you can get used to certain hammers. I can use my estwing blindfolded but give me a different hammer and I seem to really start to think about how I'm using it.

Advise me on which Paslode nailer

It does fire ring shanks not brads, no idea why it says 18ga on the screwfix website because it's a first fix framing nailer, think it fires something like 2.8mm-3.3mm angled nails, ring shank or plain, 50-90mm long

Yes angled, pretty sure this is the model I have...

Advise me on which Paslode nailer

Mine must be the newer version then because mines been absolutely spot on. I must have fired 15-20 thousand nails with it over last few months, and many more before that and I've had one jam which was easily cleared. My previous gas nailer was a nightmare in cold weather. Milwaukee have just...

Advise me on which Paslode nailer

For feather edge you'll probably want the first fix nailer rather than brads, if I'm fixing roofing battens a fully charged 5ah just about lasts me a day, sometimes have to change it for the last hour or so. I use the dewalt and it's brilliant, you can get a twin pack, brad nailer, first fix...

    Wooden Window Seals

Have you tried axminster? I've bought short lengths of seals from them in the past

    repairing a disc cutter

I've replaced loads of leads like this at work, especially on sds drills and breakers, I think it's where the lads are using the cable to lift up or put the tools down. I've told them not to do it plenty of times but they still do.

Box sash windows, which is correct construction.....

I run both inner and outer through the cill, but if there is a beading on the outside face I stop that on top of the cill. That's using accoya though so no real worries about water ingress

    Hinge jigs

I use a trend one, if you're doing more than 1 door into new frames it makes the job a lot quicker. No measuring or marking the hinges out either

    Wood screws......

I don't understand using torx screws? What's the point when pozi's work just fine and are cheaper?

No problem, glad I could be of help 👍

    Front door panels appear crooked

The top right screw is loose on the lock by the looks of it, that's very poor workmanship with how many gaps there are around the lock on the door. Is the inside handle hard to pull to open when the doors shut? It probably just needs the keep moving further out due to the draft proofing. You'd...

    3/8th ratchet

The Halfords professional range are good, no quibble guarantee aswell, so if you break something you just take it back with your reciept and they replace it there and then. I got one of their large socket sets with ratchet spanners etc too when they're on offer, it's great having a proper kit...

Bosch GOF Professional 1250 LCE router

You can definitely unscrew/tighten them for fine adjustment. It says so in the manual that comes with the router.
