What would you charge for this?

Where does 120 hours a week come from? I work between 45-50 hours every week. I am young ish, (31) and I enjoy working so why not? I understand overheads etc, but what overheads would someone have who's going to just bash a melamine topped table together in a garage that makes it acceptable to...

What would you charge for this?

£100-£120 would be fair I guess

Advice on which youtuber might review my new products

That's better, but the woodscrew holding the pencil still looks cheap

Securely joining an 100 degree mitre corner?

Mitrefast glue is good for this but if it needs strength glue alone isn't going to be enough

    making a traditional front door.

Looks lovely. I made one very similar a couple of years back out of accoya, apart from the top two panels on mine were glazed. Nice work 👍

Orbital sanders that discs stick to!

MacAllister is the problem. If you buy a decent make sander such as Bosch, Makita, Festool etc the replacement pads are readily available

Advice on which youtuber might review my new products

The scriber looks like a prototype still, it looks like a homemade tool. If you're going to sell it for 27 quid it needs to be top quality, which at the moment it doesn't look like. You need to change the wing nuts and screw holding the pencil for something a bit more user friendly, maybe brass...

    MDF GLUE

I wouldn't even be attempting to screw into 12mm MDF you're just asking for trouble, it's fine screwing into 18mm and above but 12mm will be a nightmare. Why can't you just glue? Any p.v.a will be fine, cheap ever built stuff will work perfectly

    Damp in garage wall

The other option is to just tank out the inside of the garage wall with k11 slurry and then a coat of renderlight over the top

Does Builder need permission to connect new house to sewer on my land?

There's a difference between building houses to make a profit or stopping access to your land to make a profit. Obviously a token gesture by the developer would be nice, but trying to get a load of money for it just seems wrong to me.

Does Builder need permission to connect new house to sewer on my land?

Can I just ask, what's the problem with them connecting it on your land? Obviously as long as they put everything back exactly as they found it I can't really see a problem. You'll be creating yourself more of a headache/stress by holding them back unless you're the kind of person that loves...

How much work can a 1/2" router actually do before you need to invest in spindle moulder

Yes, aslong as you keep the top and fence very flat, and have good support under it, it will be fine. I can recommend the big triton router if you haven't already bought one, mines been faultless the last couple of years and you can adjust height from above the table with them too. The hardest...

You don't need OSB either side of the wall either, why not just use plasterboard?

    Staircase spindle movement

A cut string staircase is different to that, the spindles sit directly onto the tread of the stairs. They're normally fixed with dowels or a mortice and tenon into the tread. It will be interesting to see pics of what has actually failed on this staircase?

    Staircase spindle movement

Four years is not a long time, fourty years yes, but four years is nothing, I wouldn't expect my staircase joinery to fail in that time. Go fix it otherwise prepare for that customer to tarnish your reputation.

    Render repair

Yes hall clips to fasten it, I meant to seal it sorry. I don't think mortar is acceptable anymore but I may be wrong? I thought mortar could only be used on really wide joints and even then the top and bottom of the mortar where it meets the lead and the brick/stone had to be sealed with leadmate
