    fitting router plate

I've just purchased the tilgear router plate and included in the pack are 4 very strong magnets. There are no instructions on how to fit the plate, but it seems quite obvious. I presume the magnets are set in the base, at each corner. If this is so, what is the best glue to use to stick them...

    Powered respirators

Are the powered respirators, on the market at the moment, suitable for paintspraying as well as woodworking. I'm intending on making some doors out of MDF and then spraying them and have seen the likes of the jps powercap and the trend airshield and these look fine for the two applications. I've...

    Advice on MRMDF please

Have just picked up a 8x4 sheet of 22mm mrmdf, which had to be cut in two in order to get it in my van. When I got home, I realised that its slightly bowed. Any ideas how to get it flat. I intend using it for a router table top and some sample shaker doors for my kitchen but if its not flat it...

    Saw Doctor online auction

My local Saw Doctors shop has decided to close and all the machines seem to be up for sale, through an on line auction. The sale is advertised in the local press so thought I'd pass the details on. The machines are probably too commercial for anyone, but someone might be interested in starting a...

    Different forums?

The same names seem to come up when I accidently come across other forums. My questions are-- How many woodworking forums are members of this one also members of? Which other ones are also worth looking at?(if you are allowed to say) and if you are always on the woodworking forums, when are you...

Where can I buy 90 angle steel guides ?

I've made some angle brackets! out of scrap MDF. The piece cut like a letter L, making sure the outer edge is at 90 degrees and then use a couple of G clamps to clamp it to my work. I'm sure the idea came from this forum. All the other ones I've used have

cheaper hvlp unit verses more expensive

I'm looking at some hvlp spray systems to start painting my kitchen doors. The make is Apollo. You can get the 400 model for around £100 or the 700 model for around £300. The questions are-- Is it worth paying the extra for the more expensive model and if so what would it do different to the...

Build or buy kitchen base units?

I'm having a go at building my own kitchen at the moment, using jumbo sheets of MFC (cut down to size of course) for the carcases. I looked at buying them, but found that the sizes didn't quite fit my walls, therefore I can make whatever size carcase I want. Some might be 570 wide, or 610 wide...
