Which router for table with above table adjust/bit change?

Thanks Wuffles. How do you find the bit change & height adjustment when in a table? It seems quite cheap for a router of it's size, have they cut corners on the build quality? Cheers Dave

Which router for table with above table adjust/bit change?

The budget isn't so much of an issue. Obviously not gonna buy a festool to stick in the table though! Most of the contenders will be in the £200-400 range which is fine. More than 1400 watts would be a plus as I sometimes felt it wasn't enough in the table.

Which router for table with above table adjust/bit change?

Hello, My Bosch gmf 1400 has packed in for the second time. So I'm planning on replacing it. I want to get a festool 1400 to use out of the table and want a dedicated router for my Jessem router table. I'd like to be able to adjust the height and change the bit from above. Does that limit me...

First kitchen build and I have a few questions!

So I'm trying to decide on what finish for the birch plywood - cupboard interiors, open shelves etc.. I've used Osmo Polyxoil in the past. Done lots of floors with it and some ply. I'd like something that keeps the pale colour of the plywood as much as possible and gives a smooth durable...

First kitchen build and I have a few questions!

Exactly what I was planning to do! This is the look I'm aiming for That sounds perfect. I was planning to run cement board across all the units, screwed to the ledgers, as a base for the concrete to be laid in situ as seen on the Buddy Rhodes website. Maybe I'll change from 2 ledgers to...

Any more update? Was really enjoying the build!

First kitchen build and I have a few questions!

Our worktop (50mm thick concrete) is going to be 650mm deep with a 30mm overhang, then a 570 deep cabinet, leaving us with 50mm between the back of the cabinet and the wall. I'll run a 50mm batten along the wall to sit the worktop on and fix the cabinets to. Is anything wrong with that? So i...

First kitchen build and I have a few questions!

do you normally try and get the side panels of the cabinets up against the wall or is it ok to have battens as spacers to bring them out a bit if having a deeper worksurface?

First kitchen build and I have a few questions!

They look interesting. I'd have to see how it would work in my situation. Our wall construction is lightweight Celcon solar blocks with dot and dab and I'm using Rigifix drywall fixings so I need to fix through the back of the unit with a longer M6 machine screw.

First kitchen build and I have a few questions!

Thanks, that seems to make sense. Thanks for the advice. I was planning to put glue on the tenons (do i need to put any on the panel edge as well?) clamp with some Bessey parallel clamps and sash clamps, then fix with the pocket screws. I have a water pipe and a waste pipe to run behind. We're...

First kitchen build and I have a few questions!

Hello, I'm just about to start on a cutting list for my first proper kitchen build. I'm planning on using a Festool Domino and Kreg pocket screws. The materials will be 18mm BB grade Birch ply for the carcasses with the edges on show at the front. The draw fronts will be 18mm melamine laminated...

suppliers of imperial 1/4" plastic knobs for t-track/jigs?

Just thought I'd confirm that the UKJ hold downs will fit the infra track if you slightly grind down each side of the bolts. They're quite large and seem to be of good quality for the money. Very pleased with them.

suppliers of imperial 1/4" plastic knobs for t-track/jigs?

Just to update how I got on - In the end I figured out that the square washers from M6 roofing bolts fit in the Incra slot - I think i saw it on the Dieter Schmidt website, and 'lurker' also posted it today - so i can either cut the head off the bolt or use threaded bar. I was about to order...

suppliers of imperial 1/4" plastic knobs for t-track/jigs?

Thanks guys. Excellent pointers. Steve, can you give me some ideas as to how you make the excellent looking clamp? Mainly wondering how, and at what stage, you made the slot that the bolt fits through? Cheers Dave

suppliers of imperial 1/4" plastic knobs for t-track/jigs?

Hello, I'm building a few jigs and a drill press table using incra t-track. From what I gather the tracks take 1/4" bolts and nuts. But I'm struggling to find parts suppliers for the threaded knobs. I know I can buy the incra build-it knobs set of 8, but i would prefer some different knob...

Which parallel jaw clamps and how many?

After I'd bought them I saw them cheaper on the Bessey website. £160 for 4 of the 1000mm http://www.besseytools.co.uk/k-body-rev ... lamps.html I used them for the first time yesterday gluing up an assembly/MFT table - I love them! If i need anything longer i just use a ratchet strap.

Wheels for a Jessem Rout R table?

Just thought I'd update this - the casters arrived promptly and the 3/8" bolts i got from fleabay fit fine. The casters are really nice and feel well built. It makes it really easy to move the router table around so I'm well pleased with them. Thanks for the advice, especially Merlin for posting...
