Whan trimming the guide rail for the first time, which is best...to push the saw forward or pull the saw back along the rail, thus perhaps giving a 'cleaner' cut!!!? ...or does it matter not? Gerry

Thanks for the video Richard, it works well and balances nicely with both machines roughly about the same weight and mass! However my jointer is solid cast iron albeit only a 6" model and would probably not work as neatly as this one, plus the table length is approx 29" so would take up too much...

...has anyone built a mobile unit housing the above...I assume the thicknesser would be on the bottom with the jointer sat above! Both are seperate at the moment...any ideas welcome. Gerry

Has anyone had sucess at fitting one of these to a Kity 613. There are 2 cast lugs to support the fence rail...I assume these have to come off!!? Gerry

Not sure if I should touch the brass tube...its hardly been used...I can't understand why it should be at fault!! What will happen if I just switch it on and let it run for a while...will it stop hissing eventually?

Clarke Shhh2/9.......Not used this for a few months now, since I posted about a problem which I didn't sort out then!! When switched on it just hisses air out of small dia hole in a brass tube (see photo) the oil level is ok, so whats the answer? Thanks for any help! Gerry

HELP!! Bought Dave's download...at first Windows would Not accept it..tried again, chose to save it...now I only have a zip folder on my desktop whose properties show empty!!? Where is it? Running Vista home premium.

I have to drill a series of shelf support pin holes in a carcase already fixed to the wall :-( Is there a decent drill bit on the market? I also need to make some sort of "jig" ...I assume it will have to be a hard wearing material so as not to wear with use!! The shelves are only 5" deep, so...

Hi 9F....sorry for delay..the blade slows when I push the wood (2" pine...20mm mdf) through with just a medium force...its ok if I take it slowly! The motor belt tension seems ok. as is the blade The blade slows during the cut, then builds up speed after finishing! ...strange!? Gerry
