Thanks guys, for all your comments, however even though I have only tried the gauge this weekend, I bought it in January...so I don't think a refund would be forthcoming! I will make a custom fence allowing for the descrepancy and hope for good results! Gerry

Having read the Mitre Gauge review, I felt happy about ordering the Incra V27. However, upon setting and adjusting according to the instructions I find that the fence face is not at 90 deg. to the sawtable. (see pics) This may be due to the part being made from pressed steel!..or am I missing...

I enjoy watching some of the many wonderful woodworking videos on my tv (courtesy of the tube) via a HDMI cable from my pc. My pc is sited about 12 feet from my tv...connected with a 5 metre hdmi cable. For some reason the picture (which is good) shows darker than the pc, which is annoying as...

Talking to woody friends about woodwork terms, the above names are mentioned regularly. None of us has served an apprenticeship in cabinet making, so can anyone explain which name should be used to indicate the part...'cross piece' and 'batten' is also a term used!! Thanks Gerry

My Sip 305mm chopsaw had intermittently stopped on a few occasions, but now finally "given up"...not had much use!! Fuse checked ok...its a 1600w induction 2900rpm unit. Could it be something in the starter switch? Any advice appreciated. Gerry
