    Help regarding doors please.

Well thanks for all the replies chaps, much appreciated. It looks as though the answer is going to be to purchase some MDF and make myself a door and get the router out again. Anyone know if I can get a router bit that has a flat bottom with angled sides?

    Help regarding doors please.

Hello folks, I am in the process of replacing all of the doors around my home. There are two doors that will require some additional work on them. One of the doors is only about 3/4's of the normal door height and the other is where the top of the door is very angled. I have (hopefully)...

    SDS Drill

This is the first (and last) time that I will be using it to break concrete, it has always been used purely for drilling holes up until now. I will definitely put some grease in it though. If the drill does give in, I've still got an original Rawlplug chisel and lump hammer in my workshop🤣...

    SDS Drill

Thank you for your input chaps, much appreciated. I did have the thought in my mind that it was grease as opposed to oil and that it was the heating up of the drill that was causing it to become runny. No I have never added any grease at any time during the life of the drill (slapped wrist!)...

    SDS Drill

I have a Bosch PBH 2000 SDS Drill that is a really useful bit of kit. I have been using it with the chisel to break up a load of concrete in order to bury a waste pipe in the bathroom. I am getting towards the end of the work but unfortunately the drill seems to be discharging what looks like...

    Crazy world

I use this system and it is absolutely brilliant. However, I have just been advised that my £1.99 monthly subscription will shortly increase to £2.99 but this is still very worthwhile for me.

Do you own this simple dowel jig?

This is mine, I've had it for many years and it is absolutely brilliant. Very accurate and stable as the units are clamped in place. WOLFCRAFT 3750 000 WOOD DOWELLING JIG SET 6 8 10 mm DRILL SIZES 3750000 | eBay Here's another illustration Wolfcraft 3750000 Universal Dowelling Set, for all...

    Radacanu

Agree entirely, I don't watch the programme anymore. Presented by another grossly overpaid ex-footballer! Also, I think that football should be removed from it as there are too few sports(persons) involved, generally speaking they are mostly disrespectful, arrogant, cheating, overpaid morons.

    New clock face

It was purchased as an external clock and it has lasted for a reasonable amount of time really. The original face is a sort of paper I think and, it does have glass in front of it. I realised that it was sun damage and so I do propose to hang it in a different place once repaired.

    New clock face

I have a clock that hangs outside and the face has given up the ghost. I have purchased a new face and it is made of a thickish paper and, I am wondering what the best glue will be to fix it in place. I have (hopefully) included a photo of the worn out/damaged face so that you can see what I am...

    Weeds etc

My neighbour absolutely loves his garden (so do we) but, his garden is just a natural wild jungle. His front and back gardens are the same, in fact you can hardly see his bungalow from the pavement as the growth is so high. All of his hedges, weeds, brambles and suchlike all force their way...

    Mortaring, but upside down?!

The first part of Ollie78's suggestion at #5 is your best best without a doubt. It's pretty much the way I would do it.

    Buying a Tracksaw

Thank you pe2dave, yes a quiet little titter is perfectly in order. I feel so stupid really. What happened was that I took the saw out of the transit packing and unclipped he carry-case clips and didn't look at what turned out to be a cable clip, I was just feeling it and couldn't make out...

    Buying a Tracksaw

Ha Ha I do believe that you are right PerryGunn, closer inspection does reveal that it is a cable tie. Thank you so much. I've said it before but I'll have to say it again...................................it's definitely an age thing :p

Please don't laugh will you  My Makita turned up today and I can't wait to have a look at it, problem is I can't open the B*@5## carry case!! I have undone the catches but there seems to be a little black bit of plastic in the front right hand corner which I have moved in every direction...
