I'd go for Sikkens Cetol Filter 7-Plus Translucent Woodstain Light Oak (or choose a different shade). http://www.duluxtradepaintexpert.co.uk/ ... ter-7-plus Important: 2 coats are required but don't sand inbetween coats as it is microporous. There was a very useful thread here that you might...

    Sandtex Masonry Paint

You should only need to use a stabilising solution first if the substrate is friable/chalky. The handle should be fine. Regarding colourants, there are essentially three types. Oil, water and universal (which go in both oil and water).

    exterior door finish

If swmbo goes the opaque route take a look at Johnstone's. Sikkens also worth a look for the stain. If you choose one of their microporous products they (Sikkens) specifically state not to sand in between coats (makes perfect sense). Sorry to hear you've been diagnosed with Wadkinitis.

    Buying internal doors?

Looking at buying 4 internal moulded doors with 4 or 6 panels .... budget £120 to £200, excluding door furniture. Any recomendations? These get reasonable reviews from DIYer's but I don't like the sheds for quality. I think Magnet supply Wickes (?) but probably with a different quality so as...

Titan shredder Honda 13hp engine problems

If it's a GX390 as Rodders suggest, here's the manufacturers page: http://engines.honda.com/parts-and-supp ... uals/GX390 Since you have fuel passing through, the next think to check is if there is a spark at the plug (take it out and earth it by grounding/resting on the head or somewhere...

Can Anyone suggest some Excellent White Paint for Furniture?

If you want quick drying/low odour then your option is water based rather than oil/solvent based. Water based (always go for trade/professional paint) can be purchased in many finishes. It takes around a week to fully cure and you should also avoid placing any ferrous metal objects on it in the...

DG and cost of laminate foil/Titanium Dioxide

I'm looking for some DG UPVC windows (using Rehau product) and want to understand the difference in cost between white [1] and a simulated wood finish which uses laminate foil. All DG providers want more ££'s for anything other than a white finish. [1] My understanding is that Titanium Dioxide...
