On off switch for an elektra beckum bandsaw

Sorry to drag this up again, I have a very disimilar problem in that my on/off switch on my EB 301 is fine but I find that I cannot always hit the off button everytime. It is located facing out the side and not facing me. Come an emergency I would prefer something big and obvious to hit. Every...

    Linisher belt outlet search

Looking for an outlet that sells 1650 mm x 50mm abrasive belts. To fit an oldish RJH Squirrel 3 wheel linisher. I'm pretty sure my old works bought direct from RJH but hopefully someone here will give me a cheaper lead.

    Collet chucks-opinions

I'm toying with the idea of getting a collet chuck with a dedicated 3/4 x 16 fitting. So far I've looked at the Chronos and Axminster versions but not actually physically held them. Any opinions on those or any other that I have not found yet?

    Try squares

Looking for a new 300mm Try Square after realising mine was out. Looked at the new axminsters at £36 and they look pretty good. Anything out there similar/better for the money?

    Record Power Bench Grinder 8"

I bought an 8" RP a while back with the intention of putting CBN wheels on it after a while. I have never been so unimpressed by any machine. Everything was very poor, bad fits, huge tolerances and generally very rough. I then bought some CBN wheels only to discover RP had shortened the shafts...

Record Power Bench Grinders (200mm at least)

It seems the newer wheels are 19mm and shafts reduced to fit them rather than longer spacers etc. thus not allowing CBN wheels to be fitted. I just had Mike Waldts excellent video to go on, never considered what wheels were actually fitted as I was going to dump them.

Record Power Bench Grinders (200mm at least)

It seems that some bright spark at Record Power has managed to save 20p or so and ignored the suggested "Industry Standard" and CBN wheels do not fit anymore, the shaft is too short to allow the 5/8" outer washer to contact the shaft. It seems the slightly older models worked so someone has...
