Workshop lighting - looking for advice

ive gone for 4 5' twin HF Non corrosive fittings with delux daylight tubes in a shop 9mx10m. Its good if one of them is an emergency fitting, or have a bulkhead emergency fitting, incase the power trips when its dark and you have a saw running/doing something intricate/mid glue up

Local farmer burning old sofa, car tyres ...

Totally agree its wrong to have toxic black smoke coning from a fire. From a farming background, As part of the rpa, you are required to show a waste disposal certificate for disposal of on farm waste. your also not supposed to bring any waste/or materials on site without a licence. (road...

if you thought Festool gear is expensive..........

there good because you dont have to move the timber over a saw, 6/7m long oak beams arent easily pushed over a saw. they are used a bit also for sips/composite panel cutting. you can get a hand held rebater for sips/composite panels too for creating the corner joints. its a bit weird to use, as...

    Three phase sockets, isolators, interlocks

Ive just bought 14 of these from city electrical, about £25 each iirc, no problem buying four pin, if you get a 5 pin machine just run a new wire from the board and change the box? The if of potentially owning a five pin machine when you have all four pin plugs etc already is more of a cost than...

    Front Door

It wont, Your probably best to just pin them on, or glue the board to both sides of the ply, to prevent it from warping. Definitely not just one side, it will bend like a banana. Put some expansion gaps in too.

    Track saws

tracksaws main advantage for me is that they hold the saw on the rail. no chance of a cut wandering away from the rail, it also helps when your doing an awkward cut on a sheet that you cant climb on to guide the saw across. you only have to push it not hold it in place aswell. there also handy...

    Oak drawer boxes

we were looking at the Omec dovetailers at w14. How do you get on with the brookmans, are they heavy handed to use, easy to setup, prone to wear?

Shipping container... what shipping container :D

Haha, its quite rewarding. It was spray painted, but only using a gravity hvlp gun/compressor/generator so took longer than 10 minutes. My aaa pump would be quicker but for 3 colours, itd be a nightmare with cleaning, and would use far more paint than hvlp.

    Bi-fold doors - best construction?

Accoya is fantastic stuff and will not dissapoint. Main points are non corrosive fittings, stain blocking primer and only pu glue or aliphatic resin... Pu is much better though. Incorporate v grooves in all perpendicular joints with appropriate v groove sealant ans your paint should last a...
