    EBay slippery selling

[/b] When your receiving money for facilitating trades then you have a responsibility to make rules and enforce them properly. If no one was held to account then it would be an even worse nightmare. This thread was started because in my opinion there is a disproportionate amount of listings...

    Stanley 5001's

I bought a set of aldi chisels because Paul Sellers recommended them and paid twice as much as I should of. I then happened to use a Marples yellow and red plastic handled one day and it felt far superior to the workzone ones. I bought a full set of them and I'm sticking to them. Just out of...

    EBay slippery selling

Genuine mistakes do happen and I'd like to think I'm a reasonable person and recognize the difference. Just before Xmas I bought an item off a forum member we agreed a price and postage. When the item arrived I noticed he had paid 27 quid on postage much more than he asked for. Long story short...

So he knows how it works and has no excuse its also pretty short odds that rating is going to change. Roger S caveat emptor As for the postage costs he will have to suck it up Have a good night chaps

    EBay slippery selling

Excuse me but I have not identified anyone its a username same as Fatman g identifies me. I started this thread because I have had a disproportionate number of purchases that has turned out to be no good I.e bits missing off tools, stuff not turning up and now someone trying to get more money...

    EBay slippery selling

Exactly Trev he's basically saying I'm not happy with the sale price so either pay more or no deal. What's really got to me is he messaged me saying he would post it, never said he was unhappy and gave me advice on an unbranded battery and blade to buy for it. I'm fuming tbh

Do many hobbyists own planer thicknessers?

You do what's right for you Bob I am doing the same my logic has been flawed a long time :D what I was saying is I'm definitely getting a p/t when I can accommodate one but in the meantime I am learning to use a plane its a win win for me

Do many hobbyists own planer thicknessers?

No but I'm 100 gazillion trillion % going to get one as soon as my new workshop is built my current building can only fit my bench and my belly wall to wall at the moment and by the time the new shop is built I will have gained enough hand planing experience. I think you should only get a p/t...

    EBay slippery selling

Top of the morning to you or bon soir if your too far away to hear my wife's snoring :D I wanted to mention how slippery how some ebay sellers are. I'm looking out specifically for a hand router plane no.71 or like so I'm trawling though listing after listing day after day. The amount of...

Making a brass infill plane (Hattori Hanzo, DP)

You really do need to continue making. Amateur or professional is only a term given, in my eyes your planes are stunning as good as I've ever seen. I truly hope your situation settles down so you can continue to thrill us forumites with exceptional quality threads and craftsmanship.

A cut string stair in oak, blow by blow.

I have missed the porch build that's my next viewing sorted. :-) Its a shame if the mods do want rid of you. I don't think you suffer fools gladly do you? If its down to conflict Mike first sign of any then just ignore and move on. Arguing with faceless people is futile you can't win. Anyway I...

A cut string stair in oak, blow by blow.

Mike watching your shed build and then this staircase is not only a great source of learning to myself and others but also very inspirational. Your work ethic attention to detail and then document and photograph for UKW stands you out as a pretty special fella. Your a credit to this forum sir...
