    Ripping Problem

14 teeth is probably too coarse for you. 18 teeth may be a better option but you may need to reduce the diameter to 300 mm as I suspect you may have difficulty getting 315 with 18 teeth.

    Help required on saw blades

For cutting plastic material I would recommend a negative hook triple chip blade. which may be the second blade you describe....negative hook is where the teeth lean backwards. for 6 mm thick you need as many teeth as possible. the most you are likely to find readily available on 350 mm...

    Ripping Problem

On TCT circular saw blades there is no swage (or set). there is a clearance between the actual tungsten tip and the body of the blade on a 300 mm diameter blade I would expect to see 3.2 mm tip and 2.2 mm saw plate for good quality blades. to OP.... I assume that the blade being used is...

    FOX F22-564-250 planer blades

Ouch even £38 a pair seems very expensive. I would like to see a picture of these knives as I am fairly sure I know what they are. The poolwood site gives sizes and Toolshack gives an image but its not that clear. If possible take a photo and include measurements and position of holes.

    Ripping Problem

Firstly 28T for 3 1/2" oak is too many teeth. The Felder blade looks a bit expensive to me  The "black eyes" are where the blade has become too hot and damaged the plate on the blade. It has almost certainly become "dished" as we call it in the trade. It can probably be recovered by...

best place to buy blades for scheppach hms2600ci

I am surprised you say 260 mm blades are too wide. the 2600 should take 260x19x3 knives what size were the Axi ones? Do you need seating slots in the back edge. Searching is not clear if they are plain or slotted knives.

    Saw Blade

I would suggest there is no such thing as a "general use" saw blade but will conceded that many can use a 40 tooth blade for ripping, crosscutting and finer finish. ripping you have to work slower cross cutting is ok finer you have to work a little faster. good quality blade should see at least...

    Routing MDF

Most industrial manufacturers cutting mdf use "top quality" "sharp" router cutters. they use them (in many cases) until there is barely no carbide left on the tool body. They dont have a problem with tools burning.(even at high feed speeds.....check the manufacturers catalogue for the max rpm...

    Spindle Moulder advice

I agree with most of what OwenRS said. But as can be seen from Marks pics the Euro knives have a rounded back so wont always fit in the Whitehill head. Additionally there are some Euro profiles that are 5.5 mm thick and are not suitable for the normal safety cutterheads from either whitehill...

    Spiral router bits

With a good cutter you should get a clean line all the time. Is it sharp (send it away to have it properly sharpened)

    Blades for cutting MFC

Assuming you are looking at 250 diameter blade (that was the picture) any good quality blade with 80 teeth triple chip tooth configuration will give a nice clean finish on the top of the cut. If you have a scoring saw underneath on your machine you will also get a clean finish on the underside...

    Circular Saw Blade Grinder

Anyone find a cost for the replacement grinding wheels? When you mess up and damage the wheel you will be horrified at the cost of the replacement. Additionally..... How much will it cost to replace damaged saw blades. Saw sharpening is a fine art as Ian has suggested. Still....will make me...

Axminster 'Axcaliber Contract' saw blades -- any good

I would respectfully suggest at those prices they will not be very good quality. From the images the carbide tips are quite small compared to what you would get from Atkinson W and other good saw blade suppliers.

    Wealden spindle tooling

The Whithill knives are 6 mm thick and deflector (limiter) is 4 mm thick so there may be an issue with using the Wealdon knives and deflector (both 4 mm) in a Whitehill block
