Advise on new circular saw blades & thicknesser knives

I would suggest you dont get too involved in the rake of a blade as your suggestion of the different rakes for different machines is not correct. and you cant have a blade that does cross cut and rip. a rip blade is for ripping a cross cut blade is for cross cutting. The only 260 blade I have...

Advise on new circular saw blades & thicknesser knives

Interesting what you suggest is a 260 mm diamater blade with 30 mm bore From a quick google search there are sites that suggest the blade may have a 5/8" arbor but one suggested 30mm. If it is 5/8" and you dont have a reducing bush in the blade it will wobble about. Not sure what you have...

    Mitre Saw Blade Reccomendations

I would suggest 60 teeth will give you a good finish for material from 10 to 25 mm. if they are smaller sizes 80 teeth. Indsutrial quality blades available (mostly) from stock.

Tell me about circular saw blades !

I'm not sure what you are trying to describe with the tooth shape/configuration. perhaps a couple of pictures might clarify what you mean. perhaps you are talking about the expansion slot which helped in reducing heat build up, which also may have had the brass inserts you describe. The brass...

    which saw blade?

Mark sorry for delay getting back to you. needed to check if the blade was available to me. I would suggest severe alternate bevel. most ATB blades have 10 or 15 degree angles across the top. what you really need is something with 35 degree bevels unfortunately unless you want 20 of them I cant...

    which saw blade?

Wow nice values...... There really is no "compromise" blade. If you want to rip you need a rip blade if you want to crosscut you want a crosscut blade and if you want fine finish you need a fine finish blade. so 250 mm diameter= rip 20/24 teeth crosscut 40/48 teeth fine finish 80 teeth. Now...

Do you know where I can get some of these from?

I used to sell cutterheads with those sort of screws in a former life. the company that actually made the cutterheads (in Spain) ceased trading about 10 years ago. I regret to inform you that I think it highly unlikely you will find the screws today. In my last employment we had none available...

    Rip Blade

Hmmm. No expert on machines I'm afraid...... Does the blade have 5/8" (15.875 mm) bore or is it actually 16mm It will make a difference. What diameter is the flange/lock nut on the spindle? What diameter blades are you using. Not sure what you mean by flutter..... Interested to know what you...

    Spiral router bits

2 wing should be fine and give a good finish. I would say here that spiral cutters were really designed for cnc machines where the workpiece is firmly fixed. any movement could result in breakout. I can price best quality cutters just over £50 plus VAT and post.

    Rip Blade

Morning guys 14T is quite coarse but still a good rip option. I usually suggest 28 T which I have in stock. Doug

What size cutter are you looking for? Overall length cut length diamater of cut shank size number of wings

Which saw blade will give a flat bottomed kerf?

IMHO 12T is not enough and unlikely to give a nice finish. In 250 mm diameter I have 20T available from stock with 3.2 mm tip width (kerf) and 30 mm bore. Doug
