    Warping oak

OP, can I suggest you alter your forum name because you are asking to get bombarded with spam. I am sure the moderators will help you fix it. Welcome, by the way.

    Build or Buy?

Have you got a side door? If not, that would be where I would put my effort. You can then semi fix ( so large stuff can still pass though, but infrequently used) the double doors and clad the inside with insulation. That would massively increase both security and heat retention.

Teach me please- Apoxy resin fir small projects.

If it is smallish amounts you want, the epoxy sold by pound land is very good. It is in a double tube so you should be able to squirt the two parts onto a mixing board with one hand (only guessing mind). It's certainly cheap enough to experiment with. Other thing I suggest is warming the wood...

    table saw fence parallel?

I think I would just ignore it. Because you are lumbered with a fence that runs all the way to the back, what you DO need is a sub fence to slot over your fence that ends after the blade starts. Easy three sided box out of Mdf. That way what happens at the rear of the blade is of little...

Consumer unit drafty and tatty replacement help

My knee jerk is all that excess foam is a potential fire risk. Particularly the dollop between the meter and the consumer unit. Ten minute job to clean it away. Also IIRC, that foam attacks wire sheathing.

    House purchase, sewer under house

Your solicitor must have had the plans in early days of the search, why didn't they "set off the alarm bells". From experience (with a minor issue of boundary ownership) a decent conveyor would have quicky spotted this as part of their role, before the surveyor got involved. If what you say...

    Servicing saw for warranty conditions

Being a bit of an old cynic: most warranties seem to exclude anything that might go wrong.

    Mike's homemade linisher

If you buy a belt sander make sure it's one that will lie on its back. I have this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bosch-06032A10 ... nder&psc=1 Bought 4 years ago and it's been a useful tool. There are a couple of blind m screw threads on the top, I made (well botched) a bench top plate so the...

    Woodworking tools auction

Like Andy this event is quite close to me , so although I am unlikely to buy (I have enough tools) I will be going to look around and chat with the usual suspects that gather there. Always something learned at was often is a good social gathering.

I "did" think a cat sat on the end of the bench would improve things. What's next in the series?
