    Tool value?

I reckon I have maybe £15k worth of tools. I am unconcerned about releasing their value, I just want them to go to good homes. I have kitted out both of my sons, but their interest is just getting things done. One is very good at DIY and renovation. The other is not interested but has a decent...

I know you're not allowed to swear on this forum but...

“We left the parcel in the porch.” We don’t have a porch, you left it on the doorstep in the rain and visible from the road.

    Tool value?

They don’t know it; but two forum members have been “appointed” as my workshop executors, in the event of my premature demise.

    Lumber storage?

Being British, what you have is timber. Lumber is for colonialists. ..........Yes it will be fine.

    Raspberries

I do likewise. for 5 minutes effort, failure is no big deal. Plants for free on the other hand is disproportionately rewarding.

    Raspberries

When you put them in the ground give the hole a hefty hand full of wood ash. I assume you will have plenty of that.

    Grafting fruit trees

Duo trees sound a good idea but in reality do not do well. Agree with NovocIne on how to proceed. Wait a few months and buy a decent sized tree fron a good nursery. Would you like a yellow plum? I have some that need to come out this winter.

    What glue for chopping boards?

You are in the UK not USA therefore FDA is irrelevant . The comments you are reading on line are just American @£se covering. Avoid animal glues (you were going to anyway). Either, Don't worry or don't bother ( to sell them ) life is too short. For performance I'd go for castamite which I...

    Blade sharpening, avoid getting nicked

I agree with CC. Just ignore it, sharpen and crack on.

Recommendation for the Strongest Epoxy Glue

Try the stuff from Poundshop it's clear and I have never had a fail. "Strong" is a bit subjective as the weakness is the material or surface in my experience, not the glue.

    MDF for Workbench Top?

Just a thought, make sure it's heigh enough. I am a short @£se but I reckon a diner table would be a good 4 inch too low for me. You could do as you Plan with two sheets of mdf but put 3 inch battens between the current top and the new one The resultant gap would be a handy shelf for tools...

    Working hours experiment

I worked for a medium sized high tech engineering company, where you could not be a manager unless you were chartered (to be chartered you have to demonstrate experience as well as qualifications). We had great team spirit and the company was considered to be among the best in the business...

Edge joining boards (or pieces thereof)

If by cheap PVA from Toolstation you mean Everbond 502. This is what I use and find it excellent. I usually buy a new 1 litre bottle in April (after the frosts) dispense about a quarter into another container and then keep the rest in the house. The (meagre) remains from the previous year is...

    Working hours experiment

We used to look forward to particular managers going on holiday. As we got more real work done and made decisions about changes. "It was urgent and we could not wait until you returned to benefit from you input". or "Have you been away then? I'd not noticed"
