    "Budget" Table Saw recommendation

I have this saw. I was lucky enough to get it cheap as it was shop soiled. And I collected it. It needs a bit of fettling initially but has done its job for at least four years. I notice you are not far from me and Coalville (where Charnwood are) is another fifteen minutes further on. Even if...

If you are anywhere near Loughborough you are welcome to visit and choose a decent saw from my stash. Edit: but only if you promise to stop calling timber, lumber.

    Buying a house

I have already caught out the estate agents lies hence me looking to negotiate. The vendor (some company) seems to think they are a special case too.

    Buying a house

When I go back with my plumber we will look at the drainage route as it will be significant to where we want to relocate the bathroom to. I have done work on my son’s houses so I have an idea of costs. I am assuming a bungalow is a bit easier to work on than a house.

    Buying a house

Thanks Chaps I know the housing estate quite well. Houses built in the 70's, a friend lives in the same street. They are well built so have no concerns about the structure. Its just been neglected for (I would guess) the past 10 years. There are no environmental concerns nor is it likely to...

    Buying a house

I have put an offer for a bungalow that is in a bit of a state. This was a month ago and even though its been on the market for 6 weeks my offer is still the only sensible one they have had. I think it is a repossession. Tomorrow I am off to see my solicitor but want to go informed so I am...

HSE: Fatalities in the workplace on the rise

Whilst we are on the subject: If HSE had enforced the Construction design and management Regs as is their duty, then Grenfell could not have happened.

HSE: Fatalities in the workplace on the rise

Not surprising seeing how the HSE drastically reduced the number of experienced inspectors. And then started charging industry for advice, much of it given by staff who had little or no specific subject knowledge.

    Who's responsible for water supplies?

Have st said how they will split the bill? Surely if you all don't pay an equal amount for whatever reason, then the folks would have the leak should pay the lions share. I'd call their bluff.
