Thanks for yours
Not discounting it just looking for options, varnish is a bit of a one way street though I was wondering how desirable it would be in varnish but will keep it in mind
Thanks for that Mike
I can't say I like the sound of it though
Lime or painted sound rather grim
Not looking to change the appearance as such, just liven it up and make it more sellable
What I am looking for is the best (easiest perhaps) to apply to get a better price
I don't see much...
Hi all
I have a large well used three plank table and chairs, I suppose you would call it farmhouse style, we have enjoyed using for some years, but now with children gone its just to big
Its not had a finish applied to it since it came to us so is fairly bare having just been regularly...
Absolutely correct, I remember now it was a review he did on it
Its been a time since I saw it
And lets face it I do well to remember if I put sugar in my tea 10 seconds after doing it ;-)
But a handy clamp I thought
You do have to move when needed to ensure no pinching
Nothings perfect is it
Steve Goode had a nice clamp for holding small items
I thought there was a plan on his site but can't see it just now, its not that complex anyway
I have been meaning to make one for ages
It depends on the machine as to whether bolting down is necessary or not but its generally advisable
I had a Hegner which would take off across the room if it wasn't bolted down, whereas my Axminster AWFS18 has never needed bolting down and is virtually vibration free

Each to their own of course but scroll saws are very versatile and you can do things with them you couldn't easily achieve unless laboriously by hand
I have not owned a Proxxon but they have a good reputation and its a fairly standard set up
So knowing what problems the OP has may help...
If it was me, I would take a large hefty washer, drill an offset hole towards the edge and use a bolt with a couple of nuts to lock it up
Perhaps with a gob of epoxy glue
I know what you mean, there are time wasters but so there are on ebay etc
But I have sold more via Gumtree than ebay and others though, and with gumtree its free and mostly cash in the hand so less risk
It may not be available *today* but they come round often enough and Lidl do a Parkside version as well so its not often a long wait
I haven't scraped the paint off but the top of mine is either cast iron or aluminium (by the weight the latter seems likely) but its not pressed, the side...
A while back I was after a table saw but money is tight, I was looking at second hand machines but they mostly tended to be either too expensive or knackered by excessive use
Then I spied a special in Aldi
Okay its not a top notch Axminster but neither does it have the same price tag ;-)
At...
Yes that would make great sense wouldn't it (NOT)
As to cyclists as we all know they cause untold number of deaths on out roads and pathways unlike the law abiding drivers who force them off the road in the first place due to their reckless driving and lack of care for anyone else but...
Legalise drugs ?? madness
That is tantamount to saying we don't know how to resolve a problem so we will make it go away by legalising it
All that would happen is the authorities would set a price and the lowlife scum that pedal the stuff would undercut that price and you are just as you are...
