Giving out Bank details to a purchaser

But should they try and set up a DD, and even manage to do so, the DD scheme would reverse the payment *if* the account holder notices of course So there does seem to be a grey area and perhaps why the banks are advising against it For me to set one up in my own account I have to use a...

Giving out Bank details to a purchaser

Much as I thought myself But having the banks advise against it, I felt it prudent to Paypal on this occasion

Giving out Bank details to a purchaser

Quite so, that was my thoughts on it, I was rather surprised the banks advised against it If you give a cheque to anyone, as we used to do, but rarely so now, you give those details to a complete stranger in most cases

Giving out Bank details to a purchaser

Hi all Just a random one I have an item someone is interested in on Gumtree, they asked for Bank details for a transfer I have done this in the past, usually with family so they can pay for something and on a couple of occasions to a known customer, but not on an anonymous platform like...

    Plywood facing

Folks My (hopefully) last comment (s) My only questions was what was the lighter ply now being sold, and why all of a sudden is it being sold at the outlets around here I still haven't had an answer to either, except the suggestions of thats what they sell to make money which I fully...

    Plywood facing

I am, I still haven't had an answer I have no idea why people are taking umbrage to a simple question, this forum was once a friendly place where a question could be asked without all this I didn't ask where or what to buy, I only asked what this recent light rubbishy plywood was, thats all...

    Plywood facing

I guess it depends on what you prefer, to me its terrible, both in looks and manufacture, with loads of voids

    Plywood facing

I call it standard, or bog standard, as that is what it is In the vast majority of outlets, if not all, the plywood is not labelled as any particular wood , hence bog standard, or standard (as found in any outlet round here far and wide) I don't want a specific thing, I want something that...

    Plywood facing

Which is the Meranti ? the light or the darker in my photo? They are both from the same supplier, but other suppliers around here are selling the same light type of plywood where it used to be the darker I have been scrolling for quite some time, and never had a problem with the bog standard...

    Plywood facing

I understand whats been said, I am not really asking for where to buy it I am not building furniture, just using it for scroll work, I am certainly not in the market for splashing out huge sums for what I need it for I know what you mean re old versus new quality, but I don't think a time...

    Plywood facing

Crikey, you ask what you think is a fairly simple question ...... ;-) So starting again :-) I use plywood mostly for scroll sawing, until now when I can't get recycled plywood from crates, furniture, pallets, or offcuts from builders, I have bought from a few diy type places, until now I...

    Plywood facing

Err yes, I am fully aware there are many varieties of plywood I don't want lighter, that is what is being sold around here instead of the reddish birch faced ply, I wanted to know what it is, and preferably why its now being sold in place of the previous ply I am not talking marine or...

    Plywood facing

Hi all The last few rimes I have been to buy Plywood I have found that most is now supplied in a much lighter facing that previously I presume the earlier (birch?) facing has become scarcer But what is this later facing layer? Its nowhere near as good in terms of quality than it used to...

    Longevity of wood worm?

I find that surprising I have to say, when I have found wood worm in the past its always been inside in the warm

    Longevity of wood worm?

A neighbour kindly donated some tongue and groove timber from an outhouse he was knocking down, there was a skip full of it but sadly it was wood wormed So I kept a few lengths to show willing, but put it in the yard, not wishing to keep it inside Its been outside in all weathers for a couple...
