Best blades for cutting square corners in 1/8 plywood

Hegners are reputed to be one of the best saws around I had one but vibration was terrible but I suspect it was a well worn rogue, rather than the norm With that being said I would say its just a matter of practice for your square corners I said earlier I would usually use a 3 or 5 but...

Best blades for cutting square corners in 1/8 plywood

Cutting squares out accurately depends more on practice than it does on a particular blade If you are not sure what sorts of blades are suitable for various jobs, I would watch the following two videos by Steve Good https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=06Kf9h2CXJ0...

    A phenomenon = heavy hair

I have come to the conclusion that there is a curious phenomenon re hair as you grown older It appears that hair gets increasingly heavier the older you get How else can you explain the way that hair stops growing out of your scalp and grows ever faster out of your ears and nostrils ;-) A...

Black & Decker workmates (or not)

Is yours a black and decker badged version? I have seen a B&D version that does look very flimsy compared to the older ones WM301 at about £30+ doesn't look much better than the Aldi version I guess B&D have to try and compete with the cheapies

Black & Decker workmates (or not)

I suspect the cheapies sold in many places today are unlikely to still be usable in a fraction of the time the more sturdy work mates are

Black & Decker workmates (or not)

I would agree thats its a very poor piece of kit when compared to the B&D versions But I find it comes in handy, as I said for craft shows, its nice and light and folds flat, I also use it for a temporary table for doing parcels etc Worth ten quid, but certainly no more than that

Black & Decker workmates (or not)

Mine is just the single level version but substantially more robust and solid than the later cheapie versions I think I have just about had my dads moneys worth out it after nearly 50 years use

Black & Decker workmates (or not)

I have long been a fan of the old B&D workmate My father bought me one in about 1970, which is still going strong and has been used frequently since I got it A while back I saw a cheapie version in Aldi being sold for a tenner, so got one to save carting the B&D version to some places, the...

    Pro Performance Scroll Saw

The one you mention takes standard blades not 165mm, I think some users got confused

    Pro Performance Scroll Saw

This one does seem to be like drawing teeth ;-) I would suggest that this machine *is* a scroll saw (see label) And it takes the standard 130mm length blades BUT someone has fitted a coping saw blade of 165mm length (because it looks the same as a pinned blade bar the length) and loosened...

    Pro Performance Scroll Saw

Personally I don't think its much of a mystery, it just has a coping saw / junior hacksaw blade fitted instead of a scroll saw blade
  14. W

    Pro Performance Scroll Saw

PS if you go to Axminsters site, they sell Pegas pinned scroll saw blades Although your machine should also take plain blades so you might try some of each (same postage)

    Pro Performance Scroll Saw

I would say you have a scroll saw and have the wrong blade fitted at the extreme of tension, hence why its not moving very much Do you have a picture of the machine to better aid in identification? (I see you have jusy posted them, confirming its a scroll saw) I have one of the standard...

    Banknote FTAGH

Nothing at all to do with your banknote (nice offer by the way) but it reminded me of a similar occasion in our family When the family home was up for sale in the 1970s and stuff accumulated for donkeys years was being cleared out, many a bonfire was had At one such bonfire a load of old...
